I enjoyed Bioshock 2, but as a whole, the game felt like it could have been DLC or an expansion pack. There wasnt anything really exciting, and dont get me started on the obvious flaws of being a big daddy and not having big daddy type health.

Well you do kind of shoot yourself in the head in the intro. I'm sure that has something to do with it, and also no longer being a drone. But yeah, it is odd, and I can see what you're saying about it feeling like DLC (or a very well made PC mod).

But it got a near perfect score from X Box Magazine!

As much as I've enjoyed Uncharted2, the Multiplayer is frustrating affair which taints the game overall.

What about it is frustrating besides the slow start up? I really enjoyed Uncharted 2 multiplayer. I thought it complimented the game.

Most games are instant death from Sniper Rifles, though. At least headshots are. Headshots do count in Uncharted 2, as well, they are just way harder to hit than most other games. The grenade thing I don't think I get what you mean by dodge them? You can run away from them or roll away from them and not be damaged, I've done it hundreds of times.

Watched the AVGN video for "Swordquest" - that stuff sounded epic. It's a shame Atari couldn't follow through.

If someone throws a grenade at you, you're dead, its instant cooked to explode at your feet if its on target. Sniper Rifles kill in one if you hit them above the waist. Headshots with normal weapons take three hits to count... THREE HITS.

Quick problem: Firefox won't show the text on my e-mails on Yahoo or Hotmail but they show-up fine on Internet Explorer and Chrome. I'm running into problems with the UFC site, and PFT with most of the tabs on the sites not showing up or appearing. Any help?

Conservatives hoping to attract younger supporters with video games

In order to try and pull in visitors to the Conservative Political Action Conference this week, organizers are going all out. They'll have Glenn Beck as a keynote speaker, the NRA will be on hand, and there will be a video game lounge equipped with Xboxes and Wiis. Why the games? The conference is aiming to bring in the under-30 crowd, and to do that, organizer Kevin McCullough has created something called the XPAC Lounge, an area outside the Conference where attendees will be able to play Xbox, snack on junk food, and attend a "late night rap/jam session" with cool conservative cats like Mike Huckabee and John McCain's blogging daughter.

Kevin McCullough's name sound familiar? He's the same conservative commentator who had to apologize to gamers after claiming the first Mass Effect game was "pushing our next generation of young men through the gates of hell." But apparently he's gotten over any issues he's had with interactive entertainment -- he now says that games like Guitar Hero and Call of Duty can help the conservative conference give this generation "a pat on the back and the encouragement of, 'We believe in you.'" All well and good; Just watch out for Sean Hannity. We hear he's a beast at Halo Wars.

This has LMAO written all over it. Talk about redefining "x-pac heat" :p

I can't wait for the RPG where you get paid millions of dollars to just say no at every dialogue choice. :p

Funny coincidence--I just bought Suikoden 2 off Ebay yesterday. Late last night I noticed that Kageho changed his name back to Lightning Flik. Hm.

How much does suik 2 go for these days? I got so lucky I bought it new like a month before it started to spike.

I've long since sold them (when I was working part-time at Gamestop and had some bills to pay), but in 2005-ish, I picked up Suikoden 1 and 2, 100% complete at a flea market for $5 each. NEarly had a stroke when the guy told me all his PS1 games were $5 each.

Replace $5 each with $7 each and it's pretty much the same story for me

I picked up Mario RPG, Contra, Super C, Crusader of Centy (hard to find Genesis game), Marvel vs Street Fighter (PS) Tecmo Super Bowl, and Chrono goddamn Trigger at a pawn shop this week for $35

Sadly I think I'm gonna have to do some ebaying to put towards a car. My video game collection is always up and down.

I don't mean to rub it in. I just pencil that in as the greatest find in flea market history. Probably never ever see something like that again. I wish I had kept it, but bills is bills.

Flea markets, garage sales, and pawn shops. I shop the hell out of those places for old games to either keep or turn.

This is from Wikipedia, so the usual "take it with a salt mine" warning applies...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sega_arcade_system_boards#Sega_Ring_series

The Ring series of arcade machines are also based on PC architecture. Initially announced models include RingEdge and RingWide. The 2 pieces of hardware will have Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009 as their operating system. The reason Sega decided to use a Windows embedded system was so other third-party companies would find it easier to produce games for it. The first game for the Ring platform is Border Break, running on the RingEdge. Border Break does not take full advantage of the graphics card on the Ringedge, but introduces touch-screen functionality and a special controller system. It allows players to play next to each other in the same arcade or against other people in another arcade using Sega's ALL.NET feature. Also in Fall 2009 an image appeared around the web of what was apparently a leaked RingEdge BIOS and it appears the disc drive supports the now defunct HD DVD[28]. On February 10, 2009, Sega approved a patent for two controller designs, one that looks similar to the Sega Saturn 3D pad with a added touch screen device and one that looks similar to the Mega Drive 6-button pad.[29] Sega has recently stated that they plan to revive the arcade business with these machines.

Sega also approved a patent for USB Flash Memory cards and Hard drive on July 7, 2009.[30]Although the Hard Drive and Controllers remain unexplained, Japanese Arcades have long had access to items such as floor mats and USB flash drives unlike their American counterparts(please scroll down when you reach the page on the link) [1]. Because of these patents, rumors have been spreading that Sega is going to release a new home console based on Ring hardware in 2010 or 2011. Sega has yet to clarify exactly why the Hard Drive and Controller patents were issued, possibly because these rumors may be true.[30]

You know, after the sad death of the Dreamcast and some of the great games that came briefly after they pulled out of the hardware business, I'd kind of hoped that one day Sega would return to the console business. Now, however, I frankly couldn't care any less. Literally the only thing that Sega has done in years to make me care about them in the slightest is publishing PlatinumGames' stuff.

Of course, maybe I'm missing the point and they've been holding back a ton of AWESOME games just for this possible new console!!.....HAHAHA!! Naaaaw!

So yeah, I'm going to call this a monumentally stupid move if it actually comes to fruition.

Not hating on, just wistfully remembering when they were relevant and accepting that they make a lot of stupid decisions. I "hate on" Nintendo. :p

Was Anya a chick or a dude? I could never figure it out.. or at least, if it was ever determined, I must have missed it.

I downloaded the MLB 2k10 demo just now. A definite step up visually and it seems lke you don't have to do that "step" before you swing which I never got the hang of; now you just flick forward for contact and pull back and forward for a power swing. Definitely worth taking a look at.
