Yeah I went with the SE's for Mass Effect and Deus Ex ("Augmented Edition"). Gamestop only had the huge edition of GOW, and I'm not spendind $150 on it. The rest I can do without, although I'd be curious as to what a Sain't Row SE would be likee.

I'm moving back to NYC on Sunday, and will be reunited with my PS3 after 6 months. I ordered Dead Space 2, and InFamous 2 so they should be home when I get there.

What are some games I should check out that I've missed out on these past few months? I know some of the big ones are Mass Effect 2, Killzone 3, and LA Noire, but I doubt I'll pick all of those up at the same time. Is Noire worth full price? I liked Heavy Rain. And this seems to be getting a lot of the same complaints that game received.

It still is supposed to work in stores but I hear they are getting wiped out pretty quick. I only have one Toys R Us near where I'm living right now, so I have little hope of a good score.

The other little perk for anyone that may want Black Ops still, Toys R Us has a booklet or something in store that has a $5 off Call of Duty game coupon that is working with the special, so you get 2 for $45 if picking up that title. Also, was reported for someone picking up just two Black Ops, coupon came off twice making it 2 for $40.

I want Fear 3 as one of my games though, so...I cant' really do it in stores until tomorrow, I think.

Sometimes TRU runs 2 day sales but this one appeared to be all week. You are right that you have to wait til tomorrow to get FEAR 3. That's what I was going to do too. If your store is like mine, it will definitely be the earlier you go, the better. I figure even if I have to pick up a second FEAR 3 and sell it, trade it, whatever, you still get two copies for less than the price of one MSRP anywhere else. If they have one of the other games I don't have yet to pair, even better.

As of right now, the website is showing that my local TRU still has LA Noire in stock. I hope that's the case tomorrow

Think the only one I don't have besides FEAR due to other deals I've gotten is Brink. Haven't heard good stuff but getting it with FEAR for $10 less than just the one, I'll probably try it out.

Another good game deal out there for people this week ks at Best Buy. They have a game magazine they sell for like $6 that'd be worth picking up this week. It includes $20 off coupons on both Shift 2 and Dragon Age 2, which are both on sale for $35 this week, making those $15 a copy. The other most enticing coupon in there (there's something like 6 total coupons) is a 50% off any used game. One of my Best Buys starting carrying them recently and one of the newer games used would probably drop to about $20-$25 with that.

Well, there are now reports all over the place that the deal is dead. Some TRU are changing it to a $50 gift card with purchase of two games, and some are just not doing anything at all. So..I printed out the picture from the ad (http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/10/109838/1818013-trub_super.jpg) and took it up to Best Buy to see if they would price match. All they had to do was call TRU to verify they had LA Noire and Fear 3 in stock, and they did. I was stunned it actually worked, but, yeah bitches, got my shit.

Nice. I might have went for the deal to get LA Noire and maybe Mortal Kombat or Portal 2, but I really just want Noire for now. And I still have to finish Castlevania, and the two games that I have coming next week. Since it's my birthday on Saturday, I can probably get a relative to get me Noire or video game cash. I haven't seen my parents in 6 months, so I'm sure it'll be easy to sway them to get me a stupid videogame for their asshole son when I see them on Sunday. They never surprise me anymore. They just ask "what do you want?".

What's the verdict on Fear?

Right now it's around 80% on gamerankings, putting it slightly better than 2 but considerably worse than 1.

I probably won't touch it for a while.

Glad you got the price match. I've had a lot of luck at Best Buy but never matching a package deal. I went out to Toys R Us this morning and saw the replaced signs. Saw a guy I've seen working there before get rang up for 2 Fear 3 at $50, so I asked and they told me no. Just left. That Toys R Us is the only one around and I usually will only go there for an insane deal as I usually have a lot of problems there.

Went to Best Buy and did the magazine deal like I mentioned. Got the magazine, Dragon Age II, Shift 2 and Bulletstorm as my used one all for $57 out the door. The nice thing was the cashier let me keep all the coupons, so I can give the title specific ones to a friend and use the used one for something else potentially.

This might be better to put into current events, but California's ban on the sale of violent video games to those under the age of 18 was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court 7-2. This theoretically gives video games the same First Amendment protections as books, films, and other media.

Amen. I mean that picture of the 9 and 13 year old playing Grand Theft Auto IV says it all. Parents need to start being parents and monitoring what their kids are doing instead of caving into little Jimmy's every demand. It was interesting to see Scalia write the majority opinion.

I think the ASUS is the better laptop, but I could be wrong. I am a little out of date on my laptop knowledge.

I want a really souped up PC laptop (17" minimum) for video editing and some gaming and gameplay capturing. Any recos? Is Alienware any good or is it just overpriced eyecandy?

Alienware is built for gaming in mind, so its not just candy. It is overpriced, I think.

Asus G73JH-X3

I only know of this one because last year in December my father wanted it. It is half a year old, but the specs are probably mid-range for what you should be looking for, anything better and you'll be fine. I'd also recommend getting a cooling fan, they do heat up a bit.
