So the lady is having issues with the iphone yahoo messenger app. Basically she signed out so she could check some shit and when she tried to sign back in, it said unable to sign in, try again later. No big, she goes to her laptop and now that account cannot be accessed on yahoo normal messenger. It says check internet connection but it will log in my old yahoo name no problem.

So what the fuck? The ipad is giving the same messages as the iphone and other names log in fine. Did the account get froze? Anyone had this weird ass shit happen before?

Target clearances games out way better than the other stores. I've gotten so many games from there for $4.98 and resold them. I bought two Contra 4 DS games the other day for $4 and some change

I'm going crazy trying to think of the name of this thing Sega put out in 1994 - it wasn't a game machine but a sort of personal organizer where you could send messages across the room wirelessly and it had an electronic fortune teller, I think. I never had one, I just thought it looked cool. Anyone else remember this? One of my external drives is full of old GamePros and EGMs in PDF form and I'm sure I could find in one of them a mention of it or an ad for it, but that's too much work.

EDIT: It was called the IR 7000

I had one! IIRC no one bought them, so the price came down pretty quick and I got mine from ToysRus for like $19.95. I thought the wireless messaging feature would be super cool, but I never found anyone else who owned one to try it out with:(

What's the best site for uploading/storing images? I've used photobucket forever but it's given me a lot of problems lately like resizing photos to a 10th the size they should be.

I just discovered "ViolinTay" today, completely by accident (a video was related to Brentalfloss adding lyrics to Robo's theme), and feel like I should have found her videos ages ago. As an example:

Chrono Trigger Theme Violin

Classic game music done on the world's most beautiful instrument, you can't ask for much more.

Edit: Lara Plays is pretty good too! Lots of piano (the world's second most beautiful instrument) there.

They are finally redoing the original Tony Hawk games for XBLA. Granted it's only select levels from the first two games, but that still would be the best Tony Hawk game to come out in the last 5 years.

Humble Indie Bundle #4 is up. Pay what you want to whom you want (games' developers, American Red Cross, Child's Play, the Humble folks themselves) for a handful of indie games. Your bundle for this round:

Super Meat Boy
Shank
Bit.Trip Runner

Plus, if you beat the average purchase price (currently $4.68), get two additional games:

I paid double that for Jamestown alone and I do not regret it. Jamestown might sound like a historical sim, but it's actually an overhead shooter ala 1942 set in the colony of Jamestown in 1615... on Mars.

Jamestown is fucking awesome, as is Super Meat Boy, but I assume everyone here already has that by now.

I've already got 3 of the games in this bundle, so I'm not sure if I'm gonna pick it up or not

Not using the same soundtrack though. :/

It can. You have to download the mp3 codec because Audacity is open-source and mp3 isn't, but it's usually free and very easy to find around the interwebz.

Go to Google and search "let it snow" (without the quotes). Wait a little bit, and then hold the left mouse button down and move around.

Thanks for pointing me towards Audacity. Changing topics, I bought Sonic CB on Xbox Live. I had no idea it was such a short game. I thought for a game that would be on a CD, it would have been longer than its cartridge brethren. I also really hate the special stages.

My girlfriend likes for me to play Baking Life, Words with Friends and a few other games on Facebook with her. Anyway, I am unable to get any of the games to load on my computer. I can click on the games, but the content never loads. I'm using the most recent version of Firefox, and have also tried Internet Explorer. I'm running AVG Anti virus, but it shouldn't be blocking the games from loading. I have also updated Flash and Java, but still I get nothing but the Facebook banner and a white screen. Anyone have any ideas of what I can try?

More like Titley.

I have come to grips with the fact that I prefer linear games to open-world games. I know it is the un-nerd thing of me to say, but it's just the truth. I think the criticism of linear games, (too short, storyline sacrificied for other gameplay options, incredibly easy, no real sense of danger) are all valid, but that just means they need to improve the linear game experience.

That Aliens game is one I'd love to have on PSN. That and the old Simpsons and TMNT arcade games.

There have been rumors for a while that Simpsons arcade will finally come to XBLA and PSN. I remain in the I won't hold my breath category. They did give us the X-men arcade game at least.

TMNT going only to Xbox is disappointing to me. I loved that game and came so close to beating it in the arcade and my shithead ex best friend had to leave and left me with some fucking 10 year old!

Come to think of it, he did that with the Simpsons and Aliens.
God, he's an even bigger asshole now!

Simpsons Arcade was submitted to a ratings board recently...so that may actually be happening.

I know it probably won't happen, but I'd like to see the Terminator: Salvation and Aliens Extermination light gun games on the Wii.
