Ton of info on the zombie expansion.

- You're John
- Set in the "homestead" era
- Separate menu option to start with, not part of main story
- Zombie horse for Marston!
- Instead of killing outlaws, you need to rescue citizens
- Main grave yards to kill that have their own legendary zombie bosses
- Rumored apperance of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse
- Out Oct. 26th
- $10

Sold

Got it this morning.

It's fun, I just cleared Armadillo. Zombies aren't really my thing but it has given me a couple LOL's. Herbert Moon being one.

Already ran into 4 zombie cougars. 2 shotgun shells to the face put 'em down pretty fast. There's a stranger up in Tall Trees but there's no way in hell I'm going up there with limited ammo.

Also, there is a rather famous legendary creature in here somewhere...

Finished this morning. Ending was kind of sudden but overall worth the $10 I would have spent had I paid for the Microsoft points. What happens after the final scene is the best part.

Now I'm on the undead challenges. Treasure hunter is done. 3 to go.

I finished the Undead story today. Spent about 9 or 10 hours on it overall. Definitely worth $10. I hope there will be more story based DLC for this game. GTA IV has 2 right?

I was worried about ammo at first, but I stocked up without even trying after a while. You get so many weapons.

The Big Foot mission was so cool. I figured the guy was just referring to zombie bears, but when I saw the inital Sasquatch...oh man.

I bought Undead Nightmare the day it came out, but haven't put more than an hour into it. I think I just tired myself out on the game. I'll get around to it if I ever wrap Dead Rising 2.

That's good to hear. I just started and I'm worried about ammo.

5 minutes into Undead Nightmare and I think I may like this better than the normal game; Marston's cluenessness about things is tremendous.

I think Undead Nightmare was one of the best value DLCs I've ever purchased. I loved it.

I've yet to get this DLC, still. I'm thinking of just picking up the disc-based released to get all the other stuff at once, too. Plus I love the cover-art for it, and I'm a game art nerd, so yeah.

*bump*

I finally broke down and got Red Dead Redemption. Playing through and so far, so good; but I'm stuck on the "Wild Horses, Tamed Passions" mission and fee like an idiot. I just cannot get this thing down where you're supposed to stay on the horse after you've lassoed it. I've tried over a dozen times and the horse always bucks me off. I know you're supposed to use the analog stick to balance yourself, but it doesn't seem to work at all. Any tips?

Watch Marston. If he starts flailing his arms and yelling "Whoooooaa!" tilt the stick in the opposite direction he is leaning to balance him.

I think part of it might be that you only need to lean right or left? I was trying to use back and forward, which might be the issue.

Edit: OK, I figured out that I was using the right analog stick instead of the left! :p Video games are much easier when you actually use the correct buttons!

Same thing happened to me so you aren't alone.

Finally picked up RDR this past weekend. Only a few hours in, but damn, you can kill a lot of time hunting. Also very impressed by the level of the performances. I did notice a few times when the frame rate dropped a bit, and there was a bit of pop in from the distance, but those are only minor technical gripes. Game should have some staying power with the DLC as well.

I spent an entire day once just hunting stuff. Like...no...an entire day.

I just finished the game. It took me about two months, because yeah, you can get sidetracked very easily.

I felt pretty weird about actually dying. I really thought that if I had a full dead eye meter and a full mauser, I could have taken them all down. Still, it satisfying getting revenge for John by putting sixteen bullets in that son of a bitch.

I could see how this would happen. I went hunting yesterday. Decided to go back, and then I'd see a deer, or a rabbit, or something, kill that, and then find another animal near it. At about 2 hours I almost had to force myself to go back and sell the animals I killed.

I'm getting pissed off at little glitches that are stopping me from collecting new outfits. I'm going after the US Army uniform, but can't load of the arm wrestling mini game at the rail yard.

Man, I was hooked on the hunting sidequest, even though trying to kill mountain lions and bears with your knife is bullshit.

Today, I was working towards the U.S. Marshall outfit. I was about to finish up Pike's Basin. Somehow, I was getting blasted, so I decided to take some medicine. I hit some lag in the game, and it selected my survival map instead.

The bad news is that I died. The good news is that I can go get a crap ton of Wild Feverfew. Yeah....

After that, I just decided to throw my throwing knives at everything I could find. That's always fun.

Do you have the game installed to your hard drive, by chance? I had big time issues when I installed the game to my hard drive that were only cleared up when I removed it. Weird stuff like I'd be walking down the main road in Armadillo and some guy would be standing there doing whatever he was doing. All of a sudden, he'd start to shake and then would take off like a rocket into the air.

Hunting beavers has consumed my playing time with this game. I had 3 for that sidequest for the Flying Machine...then I rode my horse off a cliff.

You can get a bunch by the river in Great Plains. I was going nuts trying to find some, and then I saw a pack of 4 or 5 hanging around that area.

A great hunting ground for everything is the small patch of land to the east of the RR camp. You can just ride around that area for hours, you won't encounter the bears or the cougars (unless it's one of those dude is chasing it things) but you will get raccoons, beavers, dear, elk, wolves, coyotes, snakes, bearcats (those pussies), rabbits, and pretty much every other damn animal in the game. I loaded up on everything just riding in a couple of circles and waiting for the respawn.

And I only did that because I was tired of those cougars making NO NOISE then killing my fucking horse.

Everyone can talk about the memorable moments in this game like the ride to town when you get to Mexico for the first time with the awesome song playing...or the end of John Marston...or the badass shot of RED DEAD REDEMPTION when you track down that son of a bitch at the end...

But for me...riding up to that last Buffalo I hadn't killed for the achievement and pulling the trigger. That was sweet stuff.
