Legit one of the least funny people to ever make it. He's up there with Piscopo, however at least Arnold had True Lies and made a good turn with being a sleazy dramatic actor.

Honestly, maybe it's just fondness for True Lies, his cameo in Austin Powers, and his role as Arnie on Roseanne, but Tom Arnold is a lot funnier than a lot of comedians that have came after him.

I've laughed at Tom Arnold a lot more than Pete Davidson, for example, if I'm being honest. Carrot Top, Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, Jeff Dunham, Larry The Cable Guy, etc all less funny than Tom Arnold.

I kind of think Tom Arnold was born 10-15 years too late. I think he could have been a quirky off beat character actor in the ‘70s/‘80s. Studio executives in the ‘90s for whatever misinterpreted him as having energy and appeal to lead studio comedies and sitcoms. Stink of his bombs (and the dumb Roseanne drama) ruined any chance of him fitting into any ensemble.

I just hate the obnoxious, bush league "are you ready to LAFF?!?" comedic arrogance he radiates. True Lies is fine because he's perfectly used, but the rest is just beyond annoying for me. But at the same time he is definitely better than those you listed by virtue of finding range. He was a great pedo in that one movie and he was a great sleazy pornographer in SOA.

Yeah, that's how I feel. He's not afraid to admit that he sucks and has skewered himself. Which is more than I can say about the list of shit comics I posted above.

Also, Chris Farley's Tom Arnold impression on SNL was incredible. It is one of my favorite random impressions a talented comic just pulls out of nowhere. Similar to Jim Carrey's Alan Thicke or Bill Hader's Alan Alda. Those impressions aren't like Arnold or Cosby or Walken where everyone has a take on it.

Tom Arnold tried to carve out a nice little career as a supporting character in hip hop movies in the 2000s. He was in Soul Plane, Exit Wounds, and Cradle 2 the Grave among others.

I actually watched one of his recent films since it was streaming and I was bored. High Holidays. What a waste of time.

I think Arnold is fine in small doses. Not everyone can be a leading man.

It all started with his dynamic pairing with Coolio in this movie that I didn't even like when I was 12.

Same year as Scary Movie which is why it got buried.

Coolio was in two horror/comedy movies that year-the other being “The Covenant” where he plays a cop who likes to steal weed.

I skipped everything to back you up, brother. Big Bully is a legit comedy classic and probably would age really well considering so many people talk about bullying nowadays. Moranis and Tom in one movie, they had good chemistry.

He was also really good in that Hugh Grant movie, and True Lies as you said. He had great chemistry with a lot of stars of the era.

If not Bobcat, I always thought a good second choice to play Charlie's dad would be David Patrick Kelly. I was thinking he looked like a really old Charlie Day when I watched Twin Peaks: The Return.

SNL really left their newest cast member out there to die in that cold open. Feel like if they’d given that to a better known cast member it would have at least gotten some sympathy laughs.

Solid episode. I always expect more from the Christmas show though. Beep beep, baby on an airplane, trying for a baby, and the pre recorded sketch were all good. Adam Driver is really good at this.

I guess they were going to give it to a better known (former) cast member.

I wonder if Cecily knew how lame the sketch was and decided she didn’t want to waste her SNL return on it and bailed. She’s only been gone for 9-10 months anyway (and lives in NYC), no need to bring her back for something that sucks. It is shitty though that best alternative that they could come up with is throwing the new girl under the bus.

She got a bad sketch and it flopped, big fuck.

Get your reps in, eat the shitty sketches cuz it’s SNL, she can gobble those up like @Holiday Piss Jug Connor with a dunkin gift card after Christmas.

Then when they got good shit, she can be ready to go.

One of the biggest complaints SNL fans have is that they keep going back to the well with retreads or old members and here they change gears and wisely let the new girl sink and some people question doing that.

I haven't seen it but good. They gotta fail. Anyone butthurt needs to suck it up. It's better for the performers, the shows, and the writers when it comes to putting people in certain spots and improving trash sketches.

Cecily needs to be gone long enough to be missed and embraced. You don't wanna Tina Fey the well again.

Pissman, do you really get Dunkin cards?
