I am genuinely flummoxed by this casting. Lorne and Dick Emerson were in their late 20s/early 30s when SNL started and these guys are 20-21. I am used to Hollywood casting people who are 10 years too old to play someone in a biopic not 10 years too young!

I mean even actors who are the actual age Ebersol and Lorne were in 1974-75 would look took babyfaced. That’s why the decision to cast actors who are 8-10 years younger than they were is so GD weird.

Idk anyone who watched The Fabelmans or Licorice Pizza and thought “Ooh. That kid is an old soul.” Except Jason Reitman apparently!
