For those using the WCW Scenario I have one huge recommendation to you:

Import all the angles and the storylines from the DOTT and the Montreal scenarios. Especially the Montreal one. It makes the game 100000000000000% better.

Wow, in my game, the WWE is a chaotic mess. The main event scene is changing up ALL the time. Current main eventers in WWE:

Carlito
Chris Masters
JJ
Marcus Bagwell
Sylvan
HHH
Trish Stratus

Seriously, those are the MAIN EVENTERS in the WWE right now. At least Road Warrior Animal and/or Heidenreich aren't there anymore.

I'm not controlling anything. I'm letting the game play itself and watching. I'm lazy :)

Weirdest tag team I've seen so far is Sting/Andrew Martin teaming up as Your New Heroes.

Yeah, which totally sounds like a heel tag team, but they're both still faces. (and they job like crazy)

Sean O'Haire's beastly run of 8+ months(and 16 defenses) was just ended by Edge.

Meanwhile, Brock still is both the TNA and IGWP heavyweight champions, and has an overall record of fuckin *37-1* (his one loss in NJPW to Shinsuke Nakamura) I think the most fucked up story I'm seeing right now is Spike Dudley and Dustin Rhodes formed a tag team, The Maniacs, won the tag titles....and are also feuding over the TNA Extreme title.

Some fun notes from other feds in my '83 DOTT scenario...

NJPW: Hulk Hogan just won the WWF International Heavyweight Title from Tatsumi Fujinami
PNW: Dean Malenko is the Pacific Northwest Nationwide Champion. Joe Malenko won the TV Title from Art Crews.
CSW: Bret Hart just won the Stampede North American Heavyweight Title from Bad News Allen

....Oh lordy. Ric Flair just stepped down and left David Flair in charge of WCW. This could get interesting.

And by interesting I, of course, mean really really bad.

Edit: And David just hired Raven as the new head booker. Well uhm...ok.

This whole week was completely fucking random actually. First David Flair takes over control of WCW, then TNA has Brock lose the title to Austin Aries. So of course, WWE had to one-up them on the WTF meter, by having HHH lose the world title....to Sylvan Grenier???

Just be glad there hasn't been a TEW 2007 scenario yet with the most over workers holding all the belts... Nothing like seeing Trish & HBK power couple with them feuding over the tag belts with HHH & Shane... while Shawn was IC champion, and Trish with both the Women's and World title ???

Ok, just because I'm kind of dumb about this... if I download the 2006 "scenario" as the most recent data, do I have to do scenario stuff? I just want to book shows using not too terribly outdated data.

Talk about an overwhelming overload... I happily marched along, getting set to book a show, noticed I needed to start some feuds... wow, feud booking looks hard.

Actually, it isn't. When you pick a storyline it gives you all the steps you need to do to accomplish it. You just have to make sure you put the protagonist and antagonist in the right spots or it'll come out weird.

I have a feud with RVD and Cena going that had Cena cost RVD the ECW title in Philly. I'm sure THAT would go over well in real life.

Its different and its taken some getting used to but I'm starting to really enjoy the structure it gives as well as the ability to evolve one story into the next. And its heart its basically the booking I did on EWR in my head actually spelled out for me on the show instead of just happening in my mind.

Biggest issues are that I end up feeling limited in my options, which is silly of course since I can write my own story or do an "unchained" story which is no different from an EWR feud. Or the bigger problem is when I book a whole bunch of steps in the story on a card but fuck up one "catalyst/support/target/subject" spot and end up doing it all for nothing. That and I've encountered a few stories that seem to have mistakes in the steps which sometimes force me to do a nonsensical angle or 1 or 2 I just haven't found a way to resolve and had to end/evolve the story after a bunch of failed tries.

I did write my first story, though, to set up a "simple" X Division 6 way feud and it seems to be working well enough. So I think I'm going to try writing some kind of mildly complicated World Title story or 4 Tag Team story and see how it goes. Figure as long as I make the first 3 steps easy I can evolve it into something else if I fuck up.

The game is really involved but I'm a micro-managing sort of guy so I'm starting to really dig it. I just finally got TV on in Japan so I'm hoping to start building a fanbase there and Europe since the economy is going up there while its in the tank in America and Canada. That sort of thing is kind of cool for me but probably doesn't interest a lot of other EWR players who just wanted to do the wrestling stuff.

Now if only the popular workrate guys in Japan like Bryan Danielson, Ultimo Dragon, and Jushin Liger would agree to negotiate with me instead of telling me they can get more money elsewhere. I swear, I'll pay more than your lowest deal.

I'm getting the hang of it. I think I'm going to play with a 1993 or MNW era database though as I'm not keen on the fact this 2006 build has me competing with SmackDown and ECW as I run Raw, plus I think using one of those rosters might be more fun.

The feud points for this HHH/RVD thing I have going requires RVD to beat HHH in a tag match. Seems like this can't happen due to creative control. Way to make the hottest feud on the show work, Trips.

The only problem I have the scenarios and real world data that people have done is that the workers are over evaluated for the game, which can make it too easy.

I've had this happen before. You can edit it out if you'd like, but can keep it if you want to be totally realistic.

I'm told there's a bug where you can't have RVD win, but you can have HHH lose. Haven't tried it myself, but there you go.

Go the WCW route - have The Big Show run in and pin HHH. Then have RVD pin The Big Show immediately. The next night, The Big Show and HHH form an alliance to beat RVD. Leads to a three way TLC match where Batista cashes in MITB.

I fixed the problem by making a different tag match. Originally, HHH (with Orton) refused to lose to the team of RVD and Goldberg. He had no issue having partner Umaga job to Ric Flair, though.
