What an unhelpful post. Did he really need a list of fifty bands with no context?
I'd say your next step should be Sleep. Pick up Holy Mountain, sit with it for a while, and then you'll be ready to tackle the Holy Grail of the genre, Dopesmoker.
Ok, let be a little more specific
If Candlemass is your thing, then give Solitude Aeturnus (
Beyond the Crimson Horizon might be a good starting place), Count Raven (Try
Destruction of the Void, or their new one
Mamon's War), While Heaven Wept, Warning and Isole a shot.
If you want more Sabbath style Doom, then Pentagram (especially
Day of Reckoning), the Obsessed (especially
The Church Within), Saint Vitus (Try
Born Too Late), Witchcraft (Try their s/t), Witchfinder General (try
Death Penalty), Cathedral (they even had Tony Iommi on one of their albums) and Trouble (Especially
Psalm 9-though that might annoy you as it has Pro-Christian lyrics) and of 13 a shot.
If Sunn 0))) is your thing, give some of Earth's earlier material a shot, especially
Earth 2.
If Stoner Doom like Sleep and Electric Wizard is your thing, then give Reverend Bizarre (give
In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend and
II: Crush the Insects a shot) or Bongzilla a chance.
If you want a more Gothic, Paradise Lost style, then yeah, My Dying Bride is great, though you may want to give Tiamat's
Clouds and
Wildhoney a chance, as would Virgin Black's
Requiem - Mezzo Forte.
For a really slow, death like and sorrow filled style with gurgled vocals, you might like Funeral Doom. Some recommendations on that front would be Ahab's Call of the Wretched Sea
and Skepticism's Stormcrowfleet.
Hope this helps.
