This is how out of the loop I am with rap/hip-hop - I just found out 50 Cent's album flopped.

Maybe he'll do what I've wanted him to do since 2003 and disappear into obscurity.

Honestly, though, he doesn't annoy me as much as he used to, and I liked "I Get Money", so that's one song of his that I actually like (I also liked "Hate It Or Love It" too, but that's more of a Game song, isn't it?).

Anyway, Lil' Wayne has taken 50's place as the world's most overexposed rapper.
Outside of GRODT - my only other 50 songs that I liked were:

- We All Die Someday (w/ Obie Trice, Lloyd Banks, and Eminem)
- Hustler's Ambition
- Outta Control REMIX (w/ Mobb Deep)
- Hate It or Love It (yeah thats more of a Game song though)

That's it.

I've been listening to nothing but Genius and K.O.D. the last two weeks.

What do you think of K.O.D?

I like it. Favorite songs on there would be Blackened The Sun, Hunterish, Shadows On The Road, Leave Me Alone, and The Martini. Love the beat for Leave Me Alone.

Yeah I liked those too. I also liked K.O.D, and Sundae's verse in Check Yo Temperature.

I hope that the rumors of Royce appearing on Eminem's next album are true. Slaughterhouse appearing with Eminem in the video for "Forever" gives me hope.

The new Clipse album kinda blows :(
It's really hit and miss. There's some nice songs, and the production is awesome, but they make a lot of bad decisions ("Counseling", speaking like dance hall singers, the gall to use auto tune) that are infuriating. Not the years worse, but a massive disappointment. That of the way, "Popular Demand (Popeye's)" is fucking awesome.

Yeah, the three best songs on there are the first three and then if just sort of stumbles around for 10 more tracks. The one-two-three punch of "Eyes on Me," "Counseling" and "Champion" is just brutal.

I heard a few songs on it, but I wasn't impressed. It's actually pretty bad IMO.

It wasn't bad. It was just there. I liked some of the songs like "I walk these streets" and "Holy Are You", but it it seemed like a safe album, with nothing really noteworthy.

I think that's going to be the last time someone invites Eminem to be on their track. You can't keep outclassing people on their own shit all the time.

Anyone listen to Shock Value II? It's really closer to a pop album than a hip-hop album, but I figured I'd post it here. From the bit I heard on iTunes, it doesn't sound all that great. Timbaland certainly gets points for trying though; he's got damn near every popular artist of today featured on this one.

BET Cypher from this year. THe ONLY reason to watch the abortion of a awards show they have every year.

Part One: Nicki Minaj, Buckshot, Crown Royal, Joe Budden

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Part Two: KRS-One, Wale, Nipssey Hustle, Gsan

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Part Three: Mos Def, Black Thought, Eminem

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Nicki and Joe killed the first one, KRS gets props for actually freestyling during the Cypher, and the last part everyone just murdered it.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Hurricane Chris(UGH), Kinaan(UGGGH), Bun B(props again for actually freestyling), Q-Tip, Willie Northpole, Hime(it was funny listening to them so "OOOOOOOHHH" when they had no idea what the hell she was saying), Black Poet, Cory Gunz, Ace Hood, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Jada Kiss.

Q=Tip, Willie North, Ace Hood, Juelz, fab and Jada all killed it. Cory Gunz just murdered it.

Cory Gunz is insane.

The one with Mos Def, Black Thought and Eminem was my favorite though. Three of my favorites all killing it.

So is this Nicki Minaj chick any good? I'm a bit hesitant to listen to artists from Young Money (Drake's all right).

She's like a hotter Lil Kim.

I like her. I mean, i will never listen to her again because her voice is the most annoying thing to ever happen to anything in life, but she is what a MC should be. She is animated as fuck like Busta Rhymes and really gets into her stuff...watching her is entertaining.

And yes...she is a hot Lil Kim(saying hotter suggest that Kim was hot.) with more talent, doesn't just talk about dicks all the time and a more annoying voice.

Nicki Minaj used to be one of Remy Ma's butch hoes. There's a video of a bull dyke bitch that made its way around the interwebs, a few years back. Some nasty ass hoe talkin about Remy Ma "She ate the box" and other such shit. That butch bitch is suppossed to be Nicki Minaj, and she does resemble her in her features and movements, and the voice is a dead give away.

And here's Rebirth. Get it while it's there. Apparently Amazon accidently on-purpose shipped 500 copies of it before schedule.

Anybody feeling J.Cole? He's had some nice features lately (including BP3) and he's got some pretty sick punchlines in the few songs I've heard from him. More than a few folks have been hyping him lately but something about him (voice, flow, I dunno) just turns me off.
