When's the deadline for games?

Deadline is basically just to make sure we're more or less on track with the real NFL season, or ahead of it, never behind. For example, Week 2 games need to be played by the real Week 2 (so by next Monday), but if everyone hits ready early, I will advance to the following week. This is advantageous because there might be a week or something in the middle where we can't make our games for whatever reason but since we're ahead, it doesn't matter.

Since we need to get two games out of the way quickly, I suggest you guys play your Week 1 Games by the end of the work week, so we can do Week 2 over the weekend at the latest.

Jesus, the Texans signed like..every good free agent. That was fast. I managed to pick up old ass Derrick Brooks and Pat Surtain to add a little depth to my shitty defense, and boy is it shitty.

Eagles beat Carolina 35-28. My D is bad..they're all just really really slow. DeAngelo Williams went off for 129 yards and 3 TD's on 9 carries. My offense saved the day - McNabb was 19/29 for 284 and two TD's. Brian Westbrook had 13 carries for 91 yards and two TD's, along with 5 catches for 96 yards and a receiving TD.

I was on the boards last night..saw people signing a few people and decided to try and shore up the spots I knew I needed depth at.

Houston's secondary is attrocious, so is their o-line, so I just tried to pick up a few people to add depth and replace some dead weight.

I added a WR to basically do KR/PR duty and dropped Chris Brown to pick up Selvin Young. Also picked up Matt Jones who in his Texans debut had over 100yds and a TD.

Schaub is a marked man however and I am willing to pass him off for a decent QB.

I defeated bps in the season opener 38-21. He only managed 72 yards of offense but made up for it in other ways. Leodis McKelvin, unlike in real life, had some positive contributions to the game, mainly picking off Brady's first pass of the season for a TD and retuning a kick 96 yards for another score. Otherwise, it was the Randy Moss Show as he caught two TD passes and 5 overall for 169 yards. Brady overall was 17/23 for 373 and 3 TD/1 Int.

Turns out the clock mismanagement at the end of the first half didn't really hurt me too badly. 31-17, Cardinals over the Agent Bond 49ers.

Warner went 11/13 for 121 yards, with 2 TDs and 1 INT.
Beanie Wells carried the ball 10 times for 38 yards
Boldin carried it once for a 41 yard TD.

Hill was 15/29 for 179 yards, with 1 TD and 3 INTs, including a pick 6 to Matt Ware.
Frank Gore was his main offensive weapon, carrying the ball 13 times for 29 yards, and making 5 receptions for 76 yards.

Turnovers and a lack of run game did me in against the Cardinals.

If I don't shore up this problem, it's gonna be a long season.

Also, Gore is indeed my main offensive weapon. He's the best I've got, so I've gotta try to utilize him as best I can.

Clearly I couldn't quite manage it against the Cardinals, but hopefully I can improve on this throughout the season.

I've had luck with 10 minutes, 20 second accel. clock. You can run out the clock pre-2 minute warning faster if that's what you're after, but with incompletions in the field of play stopping the clock it ends up giving you respectable play numbers and therefore respectable stats.

I'd say leave the timing how it is. My problem with accellerated clock is the lack of time to adjust at the line, not lack of plays run.

I benched Lynch in my game against KingPK because...well...I don't know why. Anyway...the game was over when Parrish fumbled a punt return for a TD. Fucking special teams errors...just like real life.

Complete Irony alert: The only player I had that did well was real life goat Leodis McKelvin. INT for a TD. Kick return for a TD. And another kick return down to the 9 to set up a TD.

If THAT McKelvin had shown up in real life...my football team wouldn't be a disaster.
