Well, you did sound like a dick. I've always made the Madden league, and this basically seems like it was done to spite me. "Whaaa, I didn't get the Packers so I'm going to start my own league and call it the 'official' one."

I would've waited until after the patch, on the off chance of some "Franchises before the patch don't get the benefits of the patch" tomfoolery.

That and I'm Brett Favreing on joining this one as someone other than the Panthers, just because they're my offline franchise team and my team in the other league and I'd like to play with someone more northern to see snow once in a while.

Oh, I'm sorry, I guess I'm not the one that said they got the Packers and then accused me of editing your post, then changing the settings for the franchise that we agreed on and starting it weeks earlier than some people who were getting the game. Yeah.

Quit being paranoid, man. No one's doing anything to spite you. And with how slow the other league is running, I figured it'd be nice to have two different leagues anyways. The claim about "always starting" the Madden league is dumb as well, considering that the online franchise option only started just last year. One season doesn't make it a tradition.

Anyways, in other news, it seems like everyone who is signed up for the league has played their games. There's a couple folks who said they're joining the league, but I haven't seen them sign up yet. You guys have until Friday to sign up and play your game, otherwise your game is going simmed.

I say just sim it and lets move on to week two. People can still sign up and join and being down a possible 0-1 isn't going to kill things.

So who are you joining as, so I can make note of it in the first post?

If nobody else wants them, I'll jump in as Baltimore.

Come to think of it, I guess that means I've got a thing for teams with bank-sponsored stadiums.

Yeah, go for it. I asked tonyjaymz since he'd be the only one who I'd figure for sure would want the Ravens and has Madden on the 360, but he said no so the Ravens are all yours, bud.

I didn't accuse you of editing my post. I said somebody did, which is a fact, but I also said it didn't seem like something you would do. Also, there were never any setting anyone agreed upon. I posted suggested settings but changed them. No one complained. And how is the other league running slowly? We advance every 5 days, except for last week due to Labor Day. Finally, no one wanted to wait a month and a half for the SI people to get the game. We wanted to play football.

That being said, I hope we don't have any more issues over this. It's kind of a dumb thing to argue about, but I did want to respond to what you said.

Ravens win 21-16, and I readied up while I was at it. Couldn't run the ball for shit (taking offers on McGahee, fyi) but the passing game picked me up and I think I figured out how not to suck with the 3-4 near the end.

Okay. Moving on though, are you going to join up and play your game or should we move on without you? Trying to get all the games played this week by tomorrow at the latest, tonight preferably.

I was kind of wavering, and I decided I won't be joining. It's nothing to do with what we were arguing about. It's just that, I'm in a Madden league here, one on CAG, plus an NHL 10 league on CAG and another with friends I know personally. Add on top of that the team play in NHL, and I'm probably in over my head already.

Okay, week advanced! We are now in Week 2, let's get those games done before the weekend's over. No one has any player vs. player games, so it should be easy for everyone.

In true Bills fashion I had a 2 point lead with 2 minutes left and we lost.

I've never lost to the fucking computer before. I blame Dick Jauron. Can you fire coaches in this game? Managed a mighty big 3 FGs this game. I'm beyond disgusted and want to take my ball and go home.

Wow I just stole a fucking win from the Jags.

I was down 17-3 late in the first half after giving them 2 easy turnovers, trying to play around with some trickery.

I pulled it to within 20-13 with just under 4 minutes left, and got the Jags to punt the ball at the 2 minute warning. Fitz then caught a screen(his only reception of the game) and ran it 76 yards at the 1:33 mark to tie it up, and Garrard threw a pick 6 to McFadden 12 seconds later to make it 27-20. Garrard threw another INT on the next possession to ice it.

Warner was a pathetic 9/27, but had 216 yards and 2 TDs

Eagles top the Saints 24-14. Pretty lackluster performance all around and I was up only 17-14 until I got a TD in the last minute of the game to make the score look a little better.

Donovan McNabb was 15-of-18 with 180 yards and a TD but two his incompletions were INT's (BOTH in the end zone). Westbrook was player of the game with 14 carries for 54 yards and a TD and 4 catches for 65 yards and a TD.

Can I play the Chiefs every week? I still failed to score an offensive touchdown, but two pick sixes and a whole bunch of field goals got me a 26-14 victory. No 0-16 for me!

Escaped Qualcomm 18-15.
I was down 12-7, hit an 80 yard slant, got the 2 for 15-12 lead, somehow held at my own 1 to make them kick a field goal to tie, and then drove down the field & got the game-winner.

I beat the Jets 26-13.

Brady had a bit of trouble passing as he had two INTs and was pressured much of the day, even missing most of the 3rd quarter with a bruised knee. I never trailed though. I actually had the game in hand 18-13 after recovering an onside kick but, this being the Jets after all, I went in for a "fuck you" TD and 2-pt conversion.

Awesome job, guys. Moved the franchise to Week 3 now! No player vs. player match-ups again this week, so it should be easy again to get those games done when you can.

Roscoe Parrish just returned a punt 95 yards for a TD to break my 0-0 tie with the Saints.

The Saints got a FG and then McKelvin took the Kick off 92 yards for a TD.

...

Special teams is all I have.

THE BILLS WON A GAME!!!

Almost didn't blew a 3 score lead and had to get a 55 yard or so TD with less than 2 minutes left to get it done.

Sorry Broward. I was considering your offer for Breaston, but when he returns a kickoff 102 yards with 1:55 left to give me a 28-27 win, there's no way I can get rid of him now.

Warner was 11/20 for 177 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, and 1 concussion.
Leinart came in and finished the game 3/6 for 87 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT.
Boldin had 3 catches for 121 yards and a score
Fitzgerald had 5 receptions for 48 yards and 2 scores.

Meanwhile, on the Colts' side, I was repeatedly burned by...Austin fuckin Collie? 154 fucking yards and 1 TD.

So I'm up to 3-0 with the Cards, but really feel like I should be 1-2.

Eagles 31, Chiefs 0.

McNabb goes 14-of-21 for 204 yards and two TD's. DeSean Jackson caught 4 passes for 80 yards an a TD and had a 72 yard punt return TD. Defense had 3 INT's. Pretty solid showing all around, but the Chiefs are pretty awful.

Shit, now I'm the one holding up the works. I'm on campus until 3, so I hope to get through it shortly after I get home.
