If the price is right fucking anyone would go to a hypothetical Cleese/Shearer show.

Any of the Simpsons race related recasting is so funny. It's always people who don't watch anymore complaining and they never watch afterwards. Fake outrage at its finest.

It still irks me that that it’s all because of Apu and they wrote him off the show entirely instead just recasting him with an Indian actor.

Seth MacFarlane shows and Big Mouth recast all of their white actors playing non white roles and none really seemed to get in that much of a tizzy about it.

Amount of hot air being released on stage would cause everyone In the audience’s lungs to collapse.

Does anyone who was watching the simpsons when he was voicing the characters still watch though? The last thing I care about is them hiring new people to voice characters on a 35 year old show tbh. He still has like 40 fucking characters he can do. He's still made and will make millions doing a show that should have gone off the air 20 plus years ago.

I was still watching (because my sons were) when they had their their little shitfit over the Apu stuff and it was really sad and pathetic. The Simspons has been a lesson in how not to respond to criticism imo.

Yeah the fact that fucking Seth MacFarlane handled this shit better should tell you a lot. No one lost work over this stuff. All it did (or would do for the Simpsons) is give more people a piece of the pie. It would also make it easier to prolong the show (sigh) as all these people keep dying of old age.

That's the thing, though. No one really cares because no one is really watching. It's just being outraged for the sake of being outraged, made all the worse because they handle it like they do. It changes absolutely nothing.

They announced that the season premiere episode, titled “Bart’s Birthday,” will feature appearances by Cena, Conan O’Brien, Tom Hanks, and Danny DeVito."

Please stop.

Been re-watching Season 4 and the "I Love Lisa" ep is still such a heartbreaker in the best way.
