That's a little disappointing too (since it would have been fucking amazing if an Adon were to so much as make it to the finals) but it was a great match and Ross absolutely deserved the win.

Even though the matches have been very good this commentary is fucking killing whatever excitement they might hold. As mentioned, Sessler doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about and Killian, while technically knowledgeable, is describing the action with all the passion of a sedated insurance adjuster.

yeah no shit, I like Seth knowing what he's talking about and knowing all the moves / techs, but where the fuck is the rest of the SRK crew?

Ugh...fuckin JWong is on commentary now?

Great. So not only are the Final 8 matches ruined 'cause of shitty commentary, but nobody even gets to see the end of the Grand Finals 'cause of stream shenanigans. What a fucking embarrassment.

I love how the stream fucking dies and cuts off the end of the Ricky / Daigo match.

After watching the stream, Adam Sessler doing commentary last night was akin to that SNL skit. At one point I seriously thought Adam would say: "THAT'LL MOVE THE CHAINS!!" or even drop in a "..and boom goes the dynamite.."

Evo was pretty hype. SSF4 was so ridiculously huge, 1700 people, Ceasar's ballroom was enormous and you could still barely move during SSF4 pools. Each pool had 90 people, most entire tournaments don't have that many. Tekken felt like it had about 250 people and was just tiny by comparison. I went a DQ assisted 4-2 in SSF4 and an embarrassing 0-2 in Tekken, lost to two Eddies, I'm so bad against him. Definitely was not expecting to do better in Street Fighter than Tekken, shrug.

SSF4 finals were hype but not as hype as last year. I like upsets, but I was a little disappointed not to see Justin make the finals just because it feels like he's the only American who can play a decent match against Daigo. Ricky did pretty well, but you could tell he was a little bit outclassed.

Yay Kayane! Old school Calibur represent~! Not only did she dominate the women's tourney, but she almost made it out of pools, which given the field is pretty impressive.

I'll definitely be there again next year, would be awesome to get some games in against TSM people.

Mike Ross V Daigo should be a good match..and I can only think that somewhere, fuckin Triforce is laughin his ass off at Justin right now.

It's hard to think that the Powerglove-wearing clown is laughing too much given that Justin won Marvel, Marn won TvC, and Ricky finished 2nd at Super. I'm not up on all the Empire/EG drama, but that's not exactly a bad showing by EG.

Ricky was his own worst enemy. He won what, that first round or two against Daigo then got out of his chair and fist-pumped like he won the whole thing? Yeah...that's what killed him. It felt he did better against Daigo when he first fought him in winner's bracket than he did in the Grand Finals.

The Triforce comment was also Saturday night, before JW, Marn (who I found out is originally from Texas, if not Houston) and Ricky did what they did.

It seems that next year I'll be going. I need to start putting a bit aside each check so I can have a decent sized fund for rooms and what-not. Cost for the rooms shouldn't be too high as I'd be going with like six or seven other people.

I wanted to go so badly this year because Melty was the only game I had a chance of signing up for a tournament and making a decent showing. I'd still go now, but damn. I wanted to play in the Melty tournament. I would've loved to try out the three different Ciel's.

I'm so glad Melty had such a wonderful tournament. Its kinda sad the announcers had to explain all the technicalities of Melty Blood, because sometimes it distracted from the viewing of the videos, but it was wonderful seeing it do so well. While the designs are sort of plain and simple (thanks Type-Moon~!), the game itself is definitely not and this tournament showed it. Sucks though that we had a same character final, because I think it would've had even more of a following with two different characters duking it out in the finals.

I also went to go see somethings about BBCS and got spoiled on the storyline and just well, my mind is blown on everything if what I read is true.

If Melty is still a tourney next year, I'll definitely be checking out Evo next year, should I obtain some money to do so.

I don't think Melty will make it for next year. I mean, there's already talk of both TvC and MvC2 being bounced due to MvC 3 coming in. So there's Super Street, MvC3, Tekken 6, probably an HDR tourny and it'd leave like one more. If BBCS takes hold, you figure that'll make five with the possibility of a sixth. That's of course if there isn't another women's invite for Super Street..if it comes down to fans, I just don't know if Melty would win out over MvC2 or another more "established" game.

It won't. I already know that. I still can wish, can't I?

I'll be surprised if BBCS makes it next year though, as you said, there's a ton of games coming out.

So we're not getting the RPG that was convoluted as hell, but a totally new fighter and two games running two different engines?

Please tell me Capcom vs. Namco is the Capcom version, I'll be getting that one.

Per the Kotaku article,

CAPCOMxNamco will be the Ono produced game with SF4 graphics and 2d play.

NAMCOxCapcom will be the Harada produced game with Tekken6 graphics and 3d play.

Can they please just let Capcom handle the online modes? Please?

Otherwise, interesting. I wonder if they'll have exactly the same roster? Yeah, that'd be confusing...

...but he wasn't annoucned as being in MvC 3 yet, Venk. Hence why he's "new" to the roster.

I know I'm probably the only one, but I want Void/Sentry as a sub-boss. The Punisher (not fucking Frankencastle) would be fun as hell in these games too.

I want Capcom to do an evil robot from Mega Man for once and not some bizarre obscure version of Rock Man that no one has any fond memories of. Someone like Quick Man or Crash Man or even Flash Man would rule.

Um...the past two Marvel vs. Capcom games had the original Megaman in it.

As for evil robot...since Super Skrull is in and that means we won't be getting The Thing...something to combat The Hulk:

I meant the lame ass Mega Man Volnutt character that was in TvC.

Anyway, if Mega Man makes it into this one they should render him so that he looks like the 8-bit NES version.
