I recently battled Chachamaru online in BlazBlue today and managed to win 6 of 8 matches against him. I can't believe it, because the only two times I lost were against his best character Hakumen, and I even managed to win once against him. I even saved a replay of that because I had NO life, and was about to kill him, so he did this Counter Assault, but it apparently makes your combo hit for nothing because I took all of it, charged in for a few hits and walked out with a win.

^_^;; I haven't even been practicing. Can't believe I beat him 6 of 8 times. I was literially yelling and screaming all the while because I was going toe to toe with him and putting on a good showing. Even figured out a few tricks in the air and a few anti air moves. So now I'm a bit better.

:-[ Unfortunately my stamina gives out after around 8 games of best of 5 rounds. After 40 rounds (I think that's slightly off, probably more like 30-35ish), I totally got hammered. Then again, I was only playing Noel so he could probably learn my attacks and stuff.

Still though for those 8 matches were hella fun. I think I'll buy a Tekken 6 stick and game and go hard.

Though my other friend DJCream informed me that Tager and Hakumen (the two characters he uses) are some of the lowest tier characters, so I shouldn't be that estatic really.

Nu's actually quite easy if you can get ahold of her. Nearly any combo you hit her with that's normally a 50% on someone else is like a 75% on her. Problem is getting in close to her.

I haven't bought the Tekken stick yet, its 149.99, and I need to have a job first before I can make that kind of commitment. That would at least give me a stick for both consoles so I could go hard at either system for fighting games.

Well I picked up Tekken 6 Limited Edition, which net me the game, art book, and Hori controller. Yeah, I don't have a job and just spent 150, I couldn't help myself.

The Hori controller isn't bad. I still can't get the dash to work when dashing left, but other than that, I've been doing alright. Though I mostly just plugged in BlazBlue to give it a shot. Considering I'm managing to hold my own against Hell mode CPU Nu, I think its a decent controller.

I'll probably test out Tekken 6 here shortly and hopefully I'll be able to do semi-ok. I'm not expecting miracles though, since this will be my first Tekken experience.

Pointless months late thing I wanted to mention since I'm rebuying the game tomorrow to try and get the rest of the achievements and such.

Apparently, Ed Boon said in an interview that the two DLC characters they had finished before Midway's problems for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe were Quan Chi (Obviously since he's a big part of the game)

Over the weekend I played Tekken 6 and KOF XIII.

Tekken 6 - Never been a fan of the series and this game hasn't changed my mind. The endings weren't very good either.

KOF XIII - Good lord was this a dissapointment. The 3 on 3 time trial idea is nice in principal, but not as the main (and only) feature of the game. I'm very dissapointed in the lack of endings and the lack of Mai.

Ok, after playing Tekken 6, I must say that unless you are fan of combos and near damn precision doing it, this won't be your cup of tea.

However, the only point for the controller to be there is to control your person. You don't need to worry about any fancy inputs, its just worry about the buttons on the other side and you are good to go.

I also found out that I must be a former boxer in life as Steve Fox is now my main as I totally destroyed my other buddy who's totally new to Tekken with him. And do I mean totally destroyed.

I like the Haggar-style Zangief outfit. The different outfits make me think of fighters changing "gimmicks" in between sequels, like Cody turning from city-saving street tough to jailbird thug.

Lots of news coming out of the community event. I only paid attention to the stuff related to my boy Vega:

The rolling claw comes out a lot faster.

The down-forward + medium kick is now an overhead, instead of just looking like one.

His new ultra hits low. If it connects, the opponent is launched into the air, only to land on Vega's outstretched claw. (Not sure what happens if he doesn't have his claw)
