Street Fighter IV is $20 new at Gamestop through 8/2.

God that annoys me. They NEVER have deals like that online. Using the store locator, I have to set it to search 100 miles to find the closest store to me. A little out of reach.

Where the hell do you live where there's not a Gamestop within 100 miles? Alaska?

The deal was available online when I posted about it.

Actually there is a Gamestop in Kingsway Garden Mall.

The things the American's get, we don't. Though EB is running a 9.99 promotion all through out July where ever day a new game goes on sale for 9.99.

<_< Yeah... I forgot till today.

Really? That's so bizarre.. that's the first I've heard of there being a GS in Canada.. you'd think there'd be one in at least Toronto of all places if we did have them. =\

ONLINE UPDATE: The testing of the update is quickly coming to a end with extremely positive results! We just have to get Microsoft and Sony approvals now but we are targeting to have it available near the end of August. The game has an amazing group of fans and we want you to experience this update as soon as possible. Thanks for being patient everyone and we’ll see you online!

All I know is the Penny Arcade guys seemed to think it was very deep and gave them two comics worth of material.

No, we have them. I wouldn't be that mad if we didn't.

Ah, no I just got it, wondering if anyone else did.

Sadly, I still have to find a character.

Melty Blood Actress Again

A name so rad I instantly googled it. It then got more rad with names like type-moon and french-bread, complete with hyphens!

Hah, I hear ya! When I saw the first PS2 game on shelves, I immediately dismissed it due to the title - thinking it was one of those girly JPRG's that they have so many of over there.. thankfully I found out the truth soon after! Actually a really fun vs fighter. Kind of in the vein of Guilty Gear, but not as over the top.

Ok, I just bought Dissidia, and I'm having so much fun with it.

Though, my favorite character, Cecil, I can't play. I just can't get the hang of switching between his dark and light side. Though if I manage to get him to Paladin Cecil, he's totally playable for me.

<_< I'm not good with my dark side I guess.

Tekkaman Blade is now in TvC.

Frank West, Zero (from Mega Man or Zero Akuma from Cyberbots), Joe the Condor from Gatchaman and Yatterman No. 2 are also said to be additions based on someone finding their names in the code for the Japanese site.

Capcom Project Manager Natsuki Shizawa dropped some hints on the Street Fighter IV blog that we’ll be getting an announcement regarding a sequel to the popular and revolutionary versus fighter in the not so distant future. Tokyo Game Show, anyone?

It’s rather early to do a full-on Street Fighter V sequel, so I’m expecting an expansion on IV, much like how we had SF2: Champion, Turbo and Super editions in the past.

Colour me excited, either way! I just hope they have enough material to warrant a new addition to this series. Ideally, I’d like to see a continuation of the storyline and ultimately the return of some missing favourites like T. Hawk & Dee Jay from Super and especially the self-proclaimed “God of Muay Thai” Adon from Alpha.

I'd like to mention that Melty Blood Actress Again is based on a visual novel called Tsukihime. Tsukihime has 5 different routes (girls) you can go through to reach your desired true ending. Melty Blood apparently follows none of those naturally, as its actually a continuation of a route that was axed (supposedly).

Just saying...

Yep. Tsukihime has certainly spawned a lot of media outside of the visual novel (two mangas and an anime, plus these fighting games). The games themselves, I find pretty fun. Kind of like a simpler Guilty Gear type of engine with even more quirky characters.

Check out the anime if you haven't, it's also pretty well done (even the English dub is surprisingly not horrible).

If they do ANYTHING with Street Fighter (that's not obvious crap) I will be happy. People in the scene are still super pumped about SF4.

My thoughts exactly. It's only been about 7 months since SFIV came out on consoles.. there's no way they should be releasing a glorified expansion on disc/@retail.
