What a weird movie. They spend forever building up to this fight that's been thousands of years in the making and it takes 1 minute and a punch in the back to win it. And the editing, I loved it when they went from out in the middle of the desert to being chased by the police in some city in seconds. And Megan Fox getting from LA to Princeton in 2 minutes. And them hiding LeBeouf's hand injury with some bandages that they happened to have with them. And why did John Tuturro need to climb the pyramid, other than to make the robot scrotum joke? And why does Optimus look different than all the other Primes?

I can't even say it's a bad movie, just a completely bizarre one.

This felt like Michael Bay was out partying with Seth MacFarlane one night and they decided to write this up in a drunken, stoned stupor and this was what was vomited out.

As you can tell I finally got thru this bootleg my father downloaded... weed can't even make this a good film. The last time I felt so dumbfounded by what I watched and trying to figure out what it exactly was... would have to be when I watched The Love Guru.

Sadly, I didnt get the Rhino sets when they came out so this is my only choice. :-\

I bought the first two seasons when the Rhino sets came out...the show aged so horribly I had to sell them off a short time later. I borrowed season 3 from a friend and that was even worse. I recommend everyone watch the season 3 episode "Carnage in C Minor"...that may have been the worst episode of any show in the history of animated television.

It doesn't take away my love for G1, but man the show is pretty bad to watch these days!

Season 3 is all kinds of horrible. But I can't help but love it.

One thing I did like about season 3 was Galvatron's descent in to madness...they did a pretty decent job with that.

One thing I did not like was how they constantly made Rodimus Prime a little whiney bitch. You would think by the end of the season, he would prove to be the leader the Autobots needed, but instead Optimus Prime is brought back to show that punk what's up.

No "sadly" as I belive these sets are about 5 times cheaper than the original DVD releases - same goes for GI Joe..

Sadly the Prime return was done just to boost ratings, but it had died so much due to Rodimus's constant "WHY ME!" *throws matrix and searches for it for the next 20mins* it got canceled after the season 4. But then that gave us the Japanese continuation which has some of the best stories ever.

Off the top of my head - these were my favorite episodes from season 3

- Dark Awakening
- Web World
- Starscream's Ghost
- Ghost in the Machine
- Call of the Primitives
- The Return of Optimus Prime Part 1 & 2

Most of those episodes heavily features characters from Season 1 and 2.

While I do agree that Carnage in C-Minor is the worst episode in the series, it does have one plus going for it, and that would be that it heavily featured Soundwave. Before and after that episode, he was reduced to the "Hey guys! Remember me? I'm still alive!" cameos.

To be honest, if I had the choice, I'd rather have the new Season sets. The old Rhino sets had fucked up colors and missing effects, but they did significantly clean up the footage. The new set seems to be a happy medium, taking the Rhino footage and fixing the colors and adding effects where they should be. Plus, I'm not about to pay the $100+ that "Season 3 pt 2 & Season 4" usually sells for on Ebay.

Yeah the prices that those sets, and the original GI Joe DVDs, went/go for are fucking nuts.
