I'd be down for that..would we be limited to only CAF's or would we pick a fighter or two in a given weight-class and use them ala Dynasty in NCAA / Madden?

Picking multiple fighters from multiple classes would likely be the only way we'd be able to make the thing active enough to be worthwhile. Also, it's still unclear how CAFs work online. Rumor is that you must complete a career and retire your fighter before ever bringing him online, though that hasn't been confirmed as fact.

So if that's the case, how do we pick who to use for each weight class or the desired classes we'd use for this bad boy..?

One of the developers said you could use your CAF online at anytime in the latest Q&A, I believe.

That could cause problems, though, for people who get the game late or don't have as much time to play. They'd have low ratings and few moves.

I wouldn't care if anyone chose to use existing fighters; I'm just arguing for my awesome CAF's.

Let's just do a draft and then have someone run cards once or twice a week. A fight league sounds like it could be very interesting.

I think a draft with existing fighters is the better idea. Once we all create a guy or two and build him up we can have some sort of tournament or something.

Liddel seems to have the best takedowns as he is a wrestler class. I often found using Shogun trying to do a takedown ended with me being on my back.

I was able to take Chuck down a lot in the demo. Just gotta time his punches with it.

And yeah, I've yet to pull of a submission. I'm 50/50 on wins it seems, all by KOs.

If we are doing this (hey, I'd like to join too!) which system would it be for? I wanna know which system my pre-order money should go to.

I'm worried about handling my PS3 controller since I almost broke it, so I'll probably be ruining 360 controller for this game instead.

Good, I pre-order on 360, so this should be fun! ^_^;; Though, I know nothing about MMA, so I'll probably be everyone's bitch.

New video detailing the fighter creation/career mode:

UFC 2009 Undisputed "Career Mode" TRUE-HD QUALITY

I guess GameFAQs was right about having to retire your CAF before taking him online. Too bad. And the CAFs look like shit compared to the beautiful (can I say that when talking about a digitized version of a half naked man?) real UFC fighters, as was expected. Otherwise, I'm hyped. I decided to preorder at Gamestop sinceI like Ryan Bader a lot.

I already preordered for 360 since none of my friends have a PS3.

i'm on the 360. I think everyone who wants to enter should do so by the 15th, that way we can run the draft the weekend before the release.

Well, two things there:

1) Is everyone going to get the game on launch day?
2) Is there a listing of every fighter in the game somewhere (with their ratings)?

Meh, I work at Gamestop..I'll be getting it on launch day, if not before when they get shipped to my store.

As far as a listing of each individual fighter's overalls...none are up yet. The main fighter list is on the Gamestop website for the game, however.

Actually it makes sense. If you tried to match up a CAW that you just created against a guy that has put a bunch of points into his, you'd have no shot. This at least levels the playing field a bit.

I'm in for 360 if this hasn't started by the time I get the game. I usually wait a week or two after release as you can pretty easily find new games for 40-45 on ebay. Although I've been playing the demo like crazy and this might be one game I drop that rule with.

Had one match today where I absolutely destroyed the left side of Rua's face. That step/punch combo is beast. Just kept doing that with the right hand, and Rua kept shooting and wasn't going for the block as much. (Was on advanced) And he also wouldn't get knocked out. So by the end of the second, his eye bulged out about 2 inches from his face.

Can't wait to see that effect with other guys on the roster.

I wish there was a way to make Big John McCarthy. I'd use him to plow through the whole roster.

I'd love to be a part of it but the chance of me getting it right when it comes out and getting LIVE is slim.

So I was playing around with Shogun last night just to get a hang of Muay Thai and I still don't think it's as good as kickboxing. It's got some nice attacks but it's lacking a distance closing punch, the clinch is awkward to use and difficult to even grasp onto your opponent with. The flying knee is nice however.

Witnessed my first "Under ten seconds" KO last night. My brother (as Chuck) ran across the octagon and blasted Shogun with an overhand right.

Once you get the Thai clinch down, it can be very devastating. A view swaying knees to the body will count as much as a few minutes worth of body work using other means. I admittedly cheated and turned on the stamina meters to check the plum's effectiveness, and each strike takes off huge chunks out of the opponent's stamina & endurance. Plus, it's pretty easy to chain moves between the plum to the single collar tie (example: 2 swaying knees- knee to the leg- knee to the body- right hand to the body- Flying Armbar).
