I've genuinely liked him ever since he rightfully referred to Mezger/Leninger as a "girl fight," plus he's easily the most personable fighter I've ever met, in a sport filled with athletes who are great to their fans.

So, any recommendations for a UFC DVD at Best Buy that's $15 or less? I'm canceling my GS pre-order and buying from there to get the free $10 gift card, $10 PPV cash, and free DVD. I'm thinking Best of 2008.

The Best of 2008 is on there but IMO there were a lot of better fights than what they put on there. I love GSP but GSP/Serra was a 1 sided brutal domination not a fight of the year. Same goes for BJ/Stevenson. Rashad/Liddell was actually pretty fucking boring in the first until Rashad starting letting his hands go. They picked "best fights" based on names and not the actual fights.

Fight for the Troops is worth a pick-up in the same vein as some of the early King of the Cage DVD's, with some absolutely ridiclous brutality that would leave most non-fans wanting the sport banned.

Fight for the Troops was damn good show but absolutely brutal. A broken leg, a giant hematoma that looked like a baseball under the skin, a dislocated elbow and one of the most disgusting KOs of all time.

The game is awesome.

Brock's standing strikes are absolutely brutal.

Done a few fights at MSG with Herb as the referee and have had fun with Brock killing Mir and Tito avenging his losses to Chuck.

Did an online fight against a co-worker, pretty damn laggy. Don't know if its because its not supposed to be "live" yet but there was major lag and a ton of "hiccups"..

Holy fuck Tim Sylvia has no chin... my friend dropped him with Mark Coleman in less than two minutes about three times. Damn, can people tell me how the AI is in this game? I only played one against the computer and Tim Sylvia is fucking realistic. Paw...paw...paw...paw.... If he actually hit something that knocked me down he would follow up rarely.

Can't wait to get this game. Kongo might be my favorite guy to fight with... he'll be the guy I see using to counter the fucking beast that Lesnar is. Also... once you get it down, Judo is probably the best style in this game or my friend just sucked as Anderson... all I know is Nak, Kongo, Koscheck, Serra, and Florian are my best guys to go with so far.

Our shipment of UFC came in today with like, 4 strat guides. I'll get the guide when I buy the game on Tuesday but just took my copy home today to start getting used to everything.

GSP winning does his groundwork / kip-up after winning and Brock rushes to the cage to climb up and celebrate.

Had my first fight boo'd last night.

Karo vs Amir.. 30-26 / 30-37 / 30-36 were the scores for Karo (me).. was a pretty boring fight. Amir basically ran the entire fight and wouldn't really do anything save for a few counters and sprawling on take downs.

Oh, and Brock is a man. A man that will prevent you from rolling him over to get up.. a man that will simply use brute force to throw you down and rain massive hands down upon you until you go limp so that the raping may finally take place. *sigh* Cro Cop was no match for him last night...

I had a fight booed last night too. I was Chuck and had Shogun in a guillotine but it wasn't in that well and we were just laying on the mat. I like little touches like that.

The first reviews are up on Metacritic and they are overwhelmingly positive.

i still can't get to grips with the submission's. how do you submissions. i'm starting to really get to grips with shogun with his body shots and kicks. can't wait to get this game to findout who i'll be good with as i see its going to take ages to really to get to grips with a lot of the fights.

I got boo'd today as Anderson... I basically shadowboxed around a very timid Houston Alexander. I was cheered again once I knocked him out in the third round.

Applying holds is very easy. You just click the right stick. Getting a tapout, however, is nearly impossible unless you're playing on the lowest difficulty or against a friend.

4th year in, got a title fight against Griffin for the belt. Won by KO..went on to defend against Machida only to lose to Rashad by flash KO in the first*.

Maxed out my kickboxing skills and am still on Lvl 1 of Judo.


*Dana's a fucking prick...a bi-polar prick at that. First message I get from him after the loss is him telling me that if I lose like that again he'll personally drop off the want ads in my locker. He follows that up with a message telling me that I was a great champ and that no one can stay on top forever.
