Remains by Dollhouse writers Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon. They wrote (and performed) it especially for the season 1 finale. For two tv writers with limited musical experience, it's not bad. Aside from being decent enough to listen to, it went really well with the end of the episode.

Avril Lavigne - Losing Grip (Acoustic)
It's really a shame that she's sticking with the upbeat pop side. She has a good voice and songs like this show potential in terms of future song writing/lyrics (albeit still weak). There's definitely a similarity to Alanis Morissette's voice here and Avril sounds better with it.
