Avril Lavigne - Losing Grip (Acoustic)

It's really a shame that she's sticking with the upbeat pop side. She has a good voice and songs like this show potential in terms of future song writing/lyrics (albeit still weak). There's definitely a similarity to Alanis Morissette's voice here and Avril sounds better with it.

I always thought Avril had so much potential to be a legit singer/songwiter, and not just a generic pop star. Then that album with that stupid fucking Girlfriend song was released. I heard that her new album is supposed to be a little more "raw" and less produced to hell, so it may have some potential.

"Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros has been the most played as of late. Just makes me damn happy to listen to it. "Aaaah home, let me come home. Home is where ever I'm with you."

I just dug up Failure - Fantastic Planet from my collection a while ago. I've been going through CDs I bought as a kid, since I kinda stopped listening to rock a few years ago. Most of the albums I've revisited have been pleasant surprises - "Oh, I remember this album!" type of things.

But man, I don't know how I stopped listening to this. I didn't recognize any of it except for the single, so apparently I didn't listen to it much as a kid. Now I can't stop. This is an all-time classic album, with nothing skippable. I love the segues, the construction of the songs, everything.
