But he didn't put the guy's head between his legs like he was fucking Diesel.

No...but I think Bob Sapp may have done that to Nogueira...only he planted him on his head

Amy Smart is in Batista movies now? I swear her career trajectory is heading towards me having a believable shot at fucking her for like 15 bucks. But I would give her 20. Because I'm a gentleman.

I, too, would like to thank Jesus Christ for dying on the cross for my sins so that I could be here on His earth to see this movie.

My favourite part is Matt "exposition guy" Morgan explaining about all the druids and demons, and coming off as the exact same smug-know-it-all he does on impact.

"The Nowinski studies said not to wear the amulet that would awaken the druids!!"

I was disappointed that literally every other word out of his mouth wasn't "frickin'."

So, is Kurt trying to help out the notoriously under-paid wrestlers in TNA by giving them all parts in his movies?

Coming soon: Max and Jeremy Buck as undead mass-murdering Nazis escaped from Hell! And only disgraced ex-cop Kurt Angle can stop them!

I hate that I'm not going to see it, I wish the Quad would hold it another week, but these movies are usually one and done

Im going up to the Twin Cities for a multi-movie adventure tomorrow and once again, Mall of America has another WWE film so I'll see this after sneaking into it after something else I'm seeing there. The trailers make it look like its the most heavy handed drama of WWE so far, so I'm expecting the worse.

Also, I noticed fucking Redbox actually has River of Darkness now too. Still havent gotten to that one but eventually here.

I think I read that Angle and maybe other wrasslers are in Dylan Dog, which I'm also grinning and bearing through tomorrow up there.

Well, sure enough, That's What I Am is actually, by far, WWE's best film they have done so far. Ironically enough the worse part of it was Randy Orton's stuff....he didn't fit the film whatsoever as this homophobic abusive dad of one of the kids. He was cutting lines like he was cutting promos and it just totally didn't work.

Otherwise, this was a very solid coming of age dramedy that feels alot like it could be bordering on a Hallmark movie of the week (who ever thought something WWE would reach THAT?) but it wasn't to the point of where it still wasn't entertaining because it actually was. The writer/director clearly was a fan of the Wonder Years as that's almost what this felt like....kind of an extension of that series or homaging it, etc.

I'm sure there will still be plenty of us around here that think this is too hokey or whatnot, but for once a WWE film actually connected to me and I liked this. I certainly wont necessarily ever see it again (more just because these kind of heavy hearted films have zero to no playability factor to them) but it's easy to sit through and actually has a good point and solid performances as well.

As far as Dylan Dog......well Kurt Angle's role in it is kind of minimal (3 scenes IIRC) but he did ok in what he had to do, which was hardly anything. He played a main henchmen/family member of a group of werewolves, so there is a specific scene where he changes and turns into a wacky lookin wolf that is kind of hilarious because the makeup job was kind of strange looking. Should have taken a shot of it on my cell since I was the only person in this one in the first place.

Otherwise, this was a strangely written film that did little to connect to any level, but it was bearable as there was decent action and effects but otherwise, a throwaway effort. I won't call it in the same group as the year's worst, but it just barely missed that. Brandon Routh acted like he was half asleep most of the time, especially when speaking in narrative form, he sounds like they just did one take and left it at that. And there was alot of annoying characters and performances in this one.....particularly the guy who plays his sidekick, horrible stuff. But not nearly as bad as I feared.

I was going to see it yesterday, but it wasn't playing near me, and I wasn't in any hurry to see it.

Finally getting around to watch The Chaperone on Netflix Streaming. I love how everything is conveniently placed. The robbery is taking place directly across from the bus stop, the criminals happen to run down the street that has a costume shop, etc.
