Hulk Hogan and DDP will star in an independent film called “Black River.” Page stars as a recovering alcoholic who moves to a small town called Black River, where tragedy strikes, and he starts drinking again. While drunk, his neighbor ends up murdered and the murder weapon is found in his house.

I'm currently halfway hrough River of Darkness. Oh good lord, it is bad. And not because of Kurt Angle or even Glacier, but everything else is flatly incompetent.

The movie with Steve Austin as an underground fighter was on TV yesterday so I put it on wanting to get to sleep to some mindless entertainment, but it actually kept me awake through the whole thing. It was pretty entertaining

The Condemned or Damages?
It's sad that you have to ask "which movie with Steve Austin about underground fighting?". There have been many, many more movies made about underground fighting (inevitably starring wrestlers or MMA guys) than there have actually been underground fights.

River of Darkness never got better. Terrible fucking movie. The only time it's even amusingly bad is when Sid is onscreen, which is not nearly often enough. It's one of those movies which is less than 90 minutes long, but feels like you're watching a Lord of the Rings Extended Cut.

I watched "River of Darkness" yesterday, and Jingus is so dead on. It's a pinch better than "End Game", but it's not the hilariously bad "The Fog" meets "Blind Dead" movie" that I was hoping for.

Also, that movie with Gail Kim is now on Netflix streaming. I'll probably suffer through it just because Eric Roberts is in it.

Dallas Page, Rashad Evans and Houston Alexander have roles in the upcoming Danny Trejo movie Vengeance. Also in the movie are 50 Cent, TECH N9NE, Jason Mewes and Donal Logue

The poster makes it look like a great exploitation/grindhouse style film......the trailer makes it look like a piece of shit shot in a horrid digital format.......

Kurt said River of Darkness cost just $30,000 to make. Which doesn't shock me at all, by the looks of the trailer.

That's a lie. Just paying for the vehicle rentals alone (cop car, fire truck, various boats) would knock them over the 30 grand threshold. And you know that a guy like Nash wouldn't show up just for gas money. IMDB claims that the budget was about 3 million, which seems way too high. So I'd split the difference and guess that it's $300,000 total, which looks about right.

Screenrants.com reports that John Cena is rumored to be starring in a TV show adaptation of the 1994 movie True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold is expected to be involved with an action movie or TV show soon and the rumor is that it may be a remake of True Lies and that Cena may co-star.

This doesn't sound true, but I figured it was worth posting anyway

Apparently the past few days Cena has been filming his scenes for Fred 2.

That barely qualifies as television...but it's fair because Khali barely qualifies as a wrestler.

An ancient Druid demon has returned to claim his prize... to reign over the world through one thousand years of darkness. The last time Druid demon Thule (Kurt Angle) walked the earth was during the Dark Ages. Now, after one thousand years, he has returned from beyond to assemble his pagan monk worshippers and to wreak havoc on the natural world. Gunnar Halgrim (TNA Wrestling's James Storm), an ordinary blue-collar steelworker, is plagued by disturbing nightmares and discovers through a clairvoyant gypsy that his ancestral bloodline and a family heirloom place him in danger of Thule's evil dark path. As the drama mounts, Thule's twisted and escalating rampage of death and destruction will soon collide with this small town to square off against over zealous Sheriff Raynick (Tom Savini). But one man stands between him and his Ultimate Reign: Herzog (Psycho Sid Vicious). The two forces face off in a battle of Good vs. Evil in this low budget thriller. Will Thule reign once again over the world into one thousand years of darkness?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Trailer for Warrior starring Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton and featuring Kurt Angle. It looks pretty good, but I don't like how the trailer basically shows the whole movie. This is the film that Angle made where he plays a Russian MMA fighter.

Yeah I'll watch that...but for the love of God don't watch the trailer if you don't want to know everything but the final few seconds of the movie. Also...hey a wrestler is in a movie that looks like a real movie!

I was thinking the same exact thing. I don't know how big of a role he has, but Kurt's in a legit movie that might actually lead to other legit movies. I've been a big fan of Edgerton since I saw Animal Kingdom last year, and he was good in The Square as well. It's good to see him hitting it big. Hardy, I thought, was the best part of Inception, which I didn't like. He's going to be a pretty big star.

Standing around after a one punch knockout, pulling off a SHOOT powerbomb...good thing I barely know anything about MMA or I'd be a tad bit suspicious over the realism at work.
