We are at episode 18 of the fake Gorilla podcast and it's officially jumped the shark. It was funny for that week, though.

Once he did the first few to establish the bit he should have started just doing them once every couple weeks or maybe once a month instead of every day. But there are still some chuckle-worthy moments. The part where he makes fun of Ted Turner made me laugh quite a bit. I think Mean Gene may actually be my favorite voice/impression

Nash covers Roswell UFOs, Stinky wrestlers, Doink out at bars without washing all his make up off, Racheal Welch, etc.
Nash has never watched an AWA match. Sean tried to do a guess the wrestler with Buck Zumoffe being the answer. After all the AWA titles and pedophile clues Nash says "I liked basketball not wrestling.... Was it Nailz?" "Who the fuck is Buck Zumoffe?"
Nash declared this is his pod and this game is never happening again. So they compromised and are going to do an NBA version next week.
As usual this was taped last Wednesday, Nash was talking emotionally about his son, Heaven and what not and suddenly Ric Flair is screaming an Ad for Conrad's business as Nash is mid sentence. Nice editing Steve Kaufman.

Nash starts off the first 10 mins in a funk.
He doesn't want to really do the fan meet and greet he is scheduled for.
The show is a town where he spent time with Hall the last time they we at this convention, so Nash is mentally taxed.
Sean edges Nash towards the idea that inching into the real world is an important step. Nash is basically like "Fuck that - I haven't seen the sun in four months"
Oliver suggests Nash can start doing live Kliq This shows. Nash shoots down the idea and doesn't want to leave the house.
"I guess the fans are going to have to come to your house then."

The follow up is that both men start to praise Joe Rogan interviews. Maybe it's time to start listening to Between the Sheets Monday AM instead :(

Ugh, more Buddy Rich clips. Not digging this recurring bit.

I checked in for the first time in a long time and I definitely am not going to add it back to the regular or even semi regular queue. I feel like there’s way more emphasis on Sean Oliver than I really want. It’s understandable given Nash’s current mental state but this isn’t the NASH podcast I wanted.

Nash redeemed himself at around 1 hour 9 mins by telling a story of Bam Bam Bigelow romancing an infamously unattractive rat that looked like Dick Slater. 123 Kid and Tatanka sat by the door and listened in.

It's very possible that he's working people (in fact, I'd say he is) but I'm getting quite annoyed at the veiled comments Dax Harwood makes on his podcast pertaining to AEW, his spot, and the EVPs. He then gets on Twitter and whines about his words are misconstrue by the dirtsheets when more often than not it's word for word what he said. He covers it up by saying "I'm outspoken, I don't care if people hate me!". Like brah...

I really like Renee's podcast. Just has awesome conversations with people with zero agenda. That's all I want.

Given that Regal would make similar comments, perhaps Matt Koon is trying to stoke the fire there.

And agreed on Renee. She's not a regular listen but I enjoyed her recent convo with Veda Scott.

I definitely listen to podcasts with worse audio quality but it bothers me how crappy Renee’s sound is at times. You can afford a professional recording rig, lady!

I haven't listented to Foley since before Christmas because it was just getting frustrating. I'm trying to think of the same stories he could repeat and admittedly there's not as many as I expected.

The Stephanie episode last week was so boring as he told the same stories he has for years. This was a fun one with Foley clearly getting a kick out of Herb as he couldn't stop smiling the whole episode.

Foley goes from main eventing against Vader to not being able to beat 1994 Jimmy Snuka in less than a year. And he clearly didn't give a shit.

Nash is in a good head space this week, which he attributes to smoking pot before the pod.
Show is overall skippable. The NWO documentary is the main topic, but there isn't much actual discussion. The interviewer for the NWO show asked Nash about Hall's passing and Nash broke down crying. So Kevin is annoyed they chose to use that in the show since his total air time was fairly minimal. Oliver does ask him if he was actually not expecting such a question to be asked.
Otherwise it is the standard NWO stuff we have heard. Hogan was a mega star and big business, but not quite a natural fit for Hall/Nash. They would pretape promos and splice bits together to help with the flow.
More videos of Buddy Rich.
Honky Tonk Man of all people recently made peace with Nash. I think Nash said this happened at the convention last weekend, but I may have misunderstood.
Nash also details his backstage "fight" with Piper, then talks about Piper wanting to have Nash come on the Piper Pod and make up a version of the story where Piper doesn't get smacked and sent away like a bitch. Nash found Piper to be a bully who hyped himself up as a badass.

A lot of Conrad podcasts are pretending like his co-host is telling a story he hasn’t already heard before on the show.

Love the podcasters all plugging the same shit. Cornette recently was on a rant about his health or something (he had a colon cleanse) and was told to eat more fiber. So when Last mentioned Fiber based cereal Corny screams something like "I HATE cereal! Magic Spoon? IT WAS ALL LIES! I never ate that shit!"

Corny's weekend pod was a day late this week, which I assumed would mean the AEW PPV would be covered. Despite a 4 hour plus run time, no PPV review. Today's just dropped at 8 pm, so most of the normal world will get to hear the AEW review 6 days or so late.
And yet this is somehow still more stimulating than the Conrad collective. (Road Dog popped up in an ad during Nash's pod, which was the first time I remembered he even had a pod going).
Kamala, you've been pretty radio silent on Papa Jeff lately.

RE: Corny, I do bitch a lot about his content and length, but I guess I like having noise while I prep for work and do house chores, so it works well as white static sounds in the back as I go about my day. Stuff like Greetings from Allentown Live and Between the Sheets I tend to actually focus on and enjoy.
