Nash's pod was a blend of John Tenta's sex life, Eyewitness reports of Nash's giant dick, Nash establishing what an old school alpha male was, and with it being taped last Wed, Nash was comparing the Bills cardiac arrest situation on the field to his son's.
Nash does touch on how bad booking out of the gates hurt his drawing power (the no decision Rumble match w/ Bret), Shawn apparently not liking taking power bombs, and how Sid didn't really like drinking but would smoke pot.

In more pro wrestling podcast drama, John Arezzi replaced his co-host for the second time in two years. Former PWI and WCW Magazine writer (and creator of the PWI 500 ) Bob Smith is gone and his soft spoken, kind of awkward millennial producer and a rotating group of Patreon patrons are in.

At this rate, I will probably be co hosting John Arezzi’s podcast by the end of 2024.

Weirdest thing is they didn’t even mention Bob Smith was gone, which was awkward and surprisingly given how transparent he was RE: his fallout with Brian Last.

Bob Smith started his own retro wrestling podcast that I subscribed to but Idk if I can find the capacity to regularly listen to.

I'm moving the Wrestling History Grenade into my rotation...at least his WWF 1987 deep dive.
He's got a rotating guest list for his late 70s WWWF stuff (pretty sure Arezzi was on already) but I don't have the level of interest to break it into the Corny/Nash/Between the Sheets/Greetings from Allentown rotation.
With work temporarily stopping OT, I plowed through Corny's last 3 plus hour affair in almost one evening.

Am I missing the joke with Nash continuing to say his last match was a ladder match with HHH? I finally looked it up this AM and the match was in 2011. Not only did Nash work indies for years after, he was in a Rumble!

Podcast seemed to really lack something this week. Nash let us know how deeply depressed he is about his son yet. He still thinks about his father's funeral from 50+ years ago. Etc.
- Nash was offered other interviews for podcasts "I can barely pull myself together for this one"
- When Sean goes to do Jersey guy vs Florida Man Nash says "Do we have to?" Sean "We have 2 hours to fill"
- Nash gets surprised by a new ad and busts Sean's balls over not getting his approval/endorsement.
- They do a break in the pod, but keep recording the banter as Sean preps Nash on the next ad read, Sean ques their producer and they "go back on live" so to speak. Since they taped this last Wed they had plenty of time to edit this properly. Odd.
- Nash reveals he gifted Conrad the Oz pants, one of the few wrestling things he still had. Conrad either sold or traded them. So when Nash found out he "jokingly" tweeted "Fuck you" to Conrad. They haven't interacted since.

I hope Nash reaches out to some professionals in his grieving at some point, and has some people checking up on him on the regular. Thank god he hasn't (I think) started to self medicate with alcohol or whatever. This is starting to sound really dire in how it's going for him. Between his son and his best friend (Hall) dying far too close to each other, this stuff can compound on a person as we are seeing here.

Nash's pod was fairly blah today. His RAW 30 review was pretty much what everyone else said: Lame skits and a waste of time for the legends. Nash did say Bruce contacted him to come in, but he chose not to as the money was not worth it and his buddies have to put the show together so he wouldn't be able to hang around with them anyway. He did say he would have refused to step down in fear of the modern heels like DX did.

Corny dumped a just under 5 hour pod on me this afternoon. Just over an hour in right now and he is defending the use of confederate flags in certain cases RE: the Briscoes.

Catching up on Arezzi podcasts and on last weekend show he addressed him canning Bob Smith. He said there were no hard feelings and he hoped they could continue their friendship but basically single-handedly blamed the podcasts listenership ranking on him.

Yeah, I am sure it’s all Bob’s fault and not at all related to the inconsistent release schedule (which maybe Bob had something to do with) or the fact that they’re no longer under the Brian Last umbrella. Or the fact that there’s way more current wrestling talk on this version than when Brian Last co-hosted. I tune into this podcast to hear geeks bitch about Doink The Clown or concession stand prices at Nassau Coliseum not John Arezzi pontificating about a potential WWE sale.
