How long ago was Mark Henry's fake retirement? What's the statute of limitations on ripoffs?
Historically in the business, the rule of thumb has always been 7 years if the same territory to redo an angle or finish.

Now, of course this rule was routinely violated by unoriginal and/or desperate bookers.

Dude and his wife could be running Mexico right now if he had any sense.

I assume he has burnt bridges in Mexico cause why wouldn’t he go back there after alienating WWE (and on the verge of doing it twice) and AEW.

He has got nowhere else to go once this opportunity falls through except shaking greasy hands and kissing ugly babies on the indies. I don’t think any promotion above like an MLW would want him. Not even sure if TNA would take a flier on him anymore unless it was a package deal with Charlotte. Although they brought in Del Rio a few times and he is an even worse person so IDK.

Nah I think AEW would take him back. That bridge wasn't burned, otherwise they would have taken him off TV like they've done to Ricky Starks.

I think they'd take him back if he showed during this run he'd learned anything, but all he's proving is that Bryan would've fined him.

If anything, I think this shuts down the E drones (I hate that I'm using that term) that think AEW somehow misused him. Like no, he has a big mouth and a short fuse despite being super talented.

Yeah he is, just look at their factions too. Almost all of them are just one race of people

Also, let’s put it this way. He was hot when he left AEW but got no reaction when he showed up at the Rumble. They should have pushed him harder but they didn’t and now he might as well not even be there. Dragon Lee is kinda in that territory now too. If the reason you get over is because of your wrestling, then maybe you don’t belong there. There are very few exceptions.

He was hot when he arrived in AEW too but they didn't jump on it, either. It's an Andrade thing more than a booking thing.

Re: Styles getting the fake retirement angle, perhaps it will lead to a retirement match. Styles has said he doesn’t have much left and is winding down to retirement. Maybe this will lead to a career vs title match that gives him a high profile send off.

AJ's last match should be at a TNA Wrestling PPV. Book him in a Title Vs Career match with Moose (or whoever is the heel champion at the time) and have him lose in teeth gnashingly frustrating and overbooked fashion. Have Christopher Daniels, Dixie Carter, Claire Lynch, Rockstar Spud, and whatever other members of SEX are physically capable interfere. It's just how it should go down.

No surprise there. Punk has had a lot of great merch over the years.

Austin 3:16 still being a top 10 shirt almost 30 years after it came out is crazy. Steve Austin should send a thank you note to Jake Roberts for finding Jesus every time he gets a royalty check.

Punk's "catching lightning" shirt from 2011 was one of the last iconic shirt designs.

What was the last iconic merch design? Bullet Club?

I still see a decent smattering of the Balor Club Pride shirts at this time of the year at many events.

I've only seen Bullet Club or the AEW logo shirts in the wild with any frequency. After that it's smatterings of those shitty chibi DX ones.
