I'm watching the USC game, and man I'm surprised to see some of the hits that Caleb is taking. I know he's technically a blocker when he hands it off but it feels like these d-linemen are taking liberties. When the play is away from him and he's in the backfield on his own, it feels like a cheap shot to deck him to the ground.

In college ball they do that to the QB all the time too, the QB isn’t protected the same as the NFL. These guys take a beating.

Crazy game in Stanford/Colorado with Colorado blowing a 29-0 lead over a team that was 1-4. Why they play the games and don't anoint teams in the preseason.

You have to wonder if Coach Prime can even get The Buffs to a bowl game at this point now. Out of their last five games, four are against Top 25 teams. At this point, I can’t really say for sure if they are favored over Arizona.

Granted, in 99% of circumstances, going 4-8 would be considered a moderate success for a first year coach taking over a team that went 1-11 the year but dumb sports pundits will want Coach Prime’s head on a pike.

Today in "Who wants to win the ACC?" where the scores seem made up and the records don't matter, 1-5 UVA defeated the previously undefeated and Top 10 North Carolina Tarheels.

Good get for the American Conference. Army's struggling this season but they've had a good stretch under Jeff Monken for a while since 2016: 8-5, 10-3, 11-2, 5-8, 9-3, 9-4, and 6-6 last year.

"Another complicating factor that had to be worked around is Army’s television deal with CBS Sports to broadcast its home games through the 2028 season. The AAC’s TV deal is with ESPN through 2031-32."

I do like that Army-Navy will be kept as a "non-conference" game for after the conference championship.

Coastal Chaos continues as #17 North Carolina loses to 3-4 Georgia Tech for their second loss to a below .500 team in a row.

No one really wants to be the sacrificial lamb to Florida State in the ACC Championship Game, I guess.

Meanwhile my Boston College Eagles are the worst looking 5-3 team of all time. Thankfully, I don't think they have a path to the ACC Championship Game but hey, they did almost beat Florida State...

Their first season with more than one win since 2018! And they'll probably get at least three potentially even FOUR wins since they still have FCS Merrimack and bumass UConn (who BC couldn't blow out yesterday...) on the schedule.

Toledo improved to 8-1 on the season Tuesday night. On pace to have their best record since 2017 when they went 11-3.

I should’ve put money on Clemson beating Notre Dame.

Notre Dame is always shaky on the road against ACC teams for whatever weird reason and I knew Dabo would have his team fired up to prove Tyler from Spartanburg wrong.

On the FBS side, Virginia Tech beat BC because BC can't just be really good they have to be mediocre at best. Liberty won and improve to 10-0. James Madison also improved to 10-0 after putting in another request to the NCAA to be eligible for a bowl game/playoffs (I think it's been rejected?). Memphis won in OT & Troy won so both teams are 8-2. New Mexico State has been one of the surprises of the year and are sitting at 8-3 now. In a stunner, San Jose State (5-5) knocked off Boise State (8-2) and Hawai'i (4-7) knocked off Air Force (8-2).

They're closer to the team that got blown out by Louisville and VTech than they are to a potential 9-3 team that people were talking about earlier this week. They could just as easily be 1-9 as they could 8-2. Their offensive line and running game is good enough to get themselves out of the bottom rungs of the ACC but that's about it. Downside of the five game win streak is it means they'll keep Jeff Hafley for at least another year.

Oh well. I'll personally enjoy the ugly, sleeting Fenway Bowl with BC grinding out an ugly 17-13 win over Rice.

There’s nothing more aspirational in the world than seeing a mediocre college football coach get paid 80 million to get the fuck out.

Congrats to Jimbo Fisher for sucking enough to get that bag.
