If Mike Bennett isn’t happy either than don’t waste your time trying to make a point. Cut him loose. Let him be someone else’s issue.

The wrestling business isn't a tit for 40 year olds to suck on for the rest of their life. When the end of the line comes go get another job.
The irony of this generation of wrestlers taking better care of their bodies than wrestlers of generations past: they're still trying to wrestle at an age that their elders would have been broken down by.

Yeah, when AEW's top of the card is older workers that can go, it makes it hard enough already. And there's so many guys even now who just don't have the ability to understand that they can do anything else, sadly. AEW's in an interesting spot with that as well since their EVPs are those kinda guys.

Collision has actually been pretty solid these last few weeks. Far from forgettable. Really liked tonight's show and Hologram is returning!

I expect Cole to jump back to WWE once his contract is up. Him and Britt aren't together anymore and the MJF feud cooled him off significantly. I guess if Britt is actually done and WWE offers her a deal that might change things but seems like she's more interested in getting into acting and going back to dentistry.

The sit down backstage promo with Ricochet and Swerve got me hyped for their match.

Good news! Elias Elijah has joined AEW/ROH as a member of the Righetous.

Just saw Cope's promo on Mox from Collision.

THAT is the kind of shit that made me interested in AEW in the first place, a more serious take on wrestling that acknowledges some of its sillier aspects. It honestly made me feel like I was watching a Raw from 2000 again...which is fitting.

He needs to grow the stringy old man hair back out for full effect.

Nah. It's not menacing. The long hair makes him look undead at this point. Right now he looks like an old guy named Cope.

The latest AEW drama? Fans arguing online at whether Grand Slam Austrailia was always meant to be a PPV or just a Dynamite/Collision supercard. Apparently it got so heated that they needed to analyze the original promo for the show (which made no mention of PPV BTW).

The internet.

I would be mad if I got matches I wanted to see for free too.

The guy who strated that thread on reddit seemed like a pretty obvious troll especially if you looked at his old comments. There are reasons to be unhappy about Grand Slam but it was never advertised as a PPV, and every previous Grand Slam has been a TV Event.

They also just added some more matches for it that sound really good. Jay/COPE Vs Mox/Claudio Street Fight, Buddy Vs Okada

I’m bored with MJF. Every promo is the same/ends the same, and the schtick has grown tiresome.

Show had two great matches and Toni as Mariah was fantastic. I agree about MJF. Seemed to stop giving a shit. Omega's promo was bad, but endearing.

Hounds Of Hell vs Fletcher/Takeshita was a great tag bombfest.

Ricochet/Swerve was excellently done. They did a bunch of flashy stuff mixed in with hate, while leaving enough open to continue the program. Great booking with the finish. Ricochet has been on fire since his heel turn.

I might make another thread with my thoughts, but I'm going through AEW 2019 now. The first episode of Dynamite is a blast so far. The two things that stand out is Brandi Rhodes outfit and Jay and Silent Bob being there. If Brandi is gonna dress like this weekly, I'll be fine with the overexposure.

Buckle up cause once covid hits in 2020-end of 2022 is the best TV run a wrestling company has ever had.

...to each their own, because the product during the COVID shutdown is when I left and haven't returned outside of a few shows here and there.

I just can't get any nostalgia for the lock down era of anything.

Interesting. I will always have a soft spot for that year-plus of shows at Daily’s. When everything else in the world had gone to shit, it was nice to have a good wrestling show that I could count on every week.

I do sometimes wonder how much different AEW would look if not for the pandemic, though. They got off to a great start with touring before having to come off the road less than six months in.
