I don't know how anyone can watch last night, see the reaction Silver and Reynolds got, and think they are worthless. They've always gotten a great reaction, especially Silver, those guys are pretty much made men now after that performance.

I know people around here hate The Elite for whatever reasons they have, which is fine, I'm not going to comment on who people like or dislike, but to think that they're going to leave AEW in the end, I can't see that happening. The Elite ARE AEW and they are a huge part of it. Fans will stop watching AEW if they are gone. Yes, Punk is a big part of them doing bigger numbers, but The Elite are also part of the reason they are bringing in numbers.

Yeah, Silver works as both a wrestler and a comedy guy. Get rid of the Dark Order l, but at least keep him around. I'm ambivalent about Reynolds.

Expendable and worthless aren't exactly the same thing.

In the climate now created? Dude, there's nothing for the Order anyway and less so now. Pack it up.

Gotta put all these people in a room and tell them to STFU and make money or walk.
The thing is, if Ace Steel did bite Kenny you can’t fix that. I would never work with someone who bit me but then you fire Ace and Punk walks. I don’t see how anyone could paper over those cracks.

Either way this will end with someone upset

I think it’s more that people rightly see Punks comeback as unfinished and it might have gotten ruined by someone who brought up extremely personal shit during a wrestling promo when it made no sense to do so. Here’s how I see it. I think the Elite have a problem with other peoples boundaries. So the issue is between Punk and Cabana. Then Hangman says something about that and Punk responds. After Punk responds then the Bucks get involved and Punk responds to that. So then Omega gets involved and there’s a fistfight. Like am I taking crazy pills here? It’s obvious what the actual problem is and Punk obviously can’t keep his mouth shut but he’s not the one bringing other people into it.

The ratings get hurt more if Punk left because I get the feeling a lot more people would walk out if he was gone. See the reason why I think this is because Punk has been willing to do business with a lot of people and nobody leaves a program with him and looks bad at the end of it. Every program he’s had ends with both guys elevated. And right now he’s making MJF’s career. So do we think everyone’s just gonna be happy if the Bucks pushed him out of the company? Hell nah and people aren’t gonna be happy if the other guys leave. It’s a no win situation unless someone can force them to get over it. It would seem to me everyone would get over it if Hangman had apologized but that didn’t happen. I don’t want anyone to leave, especially not Kenny. But this wasn’t his business and he should have stayed out of it. His friends have a hard time with that though.

Now that being said, the biting. If someone bit me I wouldn’t be in a room with them ever again without trying to fuck them up. Dunno how to fix that.

Yeah. Ace Steel should absolutely be punished if he bit a wrestler. I know tempers flare in locker rooms but road agents are supposed to be the cool heads and he's out there fighting like a four year old!? If Punk doesn't get that and throws a hissy fit then he probably isn't worth siding with.

No one is saying that losing the Elite wouldn't hurt AEW. In fact I specfically said it would. That said we saw AEW's ratings without Omega, Punk, Bryan, Mox. We saw them all come back. Punk was the difference maker. Punk is the guy who draws the biggest buyrates.

The Dark Order guys, yeah they're fine (Uno is terrible but the others are mostly very good) but they don't have the same value as any number of people. As far as them being really over, almost everyone in AEW gets big reactions. Marko Stunt got pops. That's what happens when a product is hot. I'm not saying they should be gone but losing them wouldn't be the end of the world.

Punk didn't mention the Bucks or Omega by name in his pointed comments, but mentioned issues with the executive vice presidents of which the Bucks' Matt & Nick Jackson are along with Omega.
----

He said Nick multiple times lol.

I’m not sure if this means Omega did the biting or Steel did.
"Omega was also involved with Steel (Chris Guy) grabbing his hair and biting him."

wording definetly makes it sound like Steel did it.

ok read it again and yeah it sounds like Omega did the biting and hair pulling which is hilarious and makes way more sense bewcause of course Kenny Omega would pull hair and bite in a fight.

I'm just used to dave's lack of punctation it threw me off

Honestly, the fighting isn't a big deal to me. Maybe it's just because I'm more of an old school fan. But, that shit used to happen from time to time. Whether it was Booker T and Batista, Flair and Bischoff in WWE, every other show in ECW, Jericho and Goldberg, DDP and Steiner, Bret and Shawn etc....

Now, the business has changed and there's definitely less testosterone than there used to be. But, that kinda shit just used to happen with a locker room full of ego driven outlaw athletes.

Omega pulling hair is hilarious though.

And all the people on Reddit acting like they aren't going to watch it anymore because of all this real backstage drama and violence. Jesus. It's like they want to watch an acrobatics routine instead of fighting. Wrestling has always been about violence at it's heart.

If anything, people really hating each other only makes me want to watch it more.

I'm curious if they are going to be willing to turn all this into business. You make an announcement tonight that you are having a Punk/Elite Summit mid ring on Wednesday at 9 pm you probably get your best rating since the debut.

Good fucking riddance. That audience taking over is a big reason why folks stopped watching.

Considering how many times players fight in real sports, why is it surprising that people who fake fight for a living get in real ones? This shit happens when you get a bunch of testosterone and alpha male personalities around each other

Dude based on the non-reaction to Tyson Fury I think maybe 90% of fans would rather watch the acrobatics routine

There’s a fine line here. People who want to see people get hurt for real can stick to watching UFC but there’s nothing wrong with people occasionally getting fired up in the locker room. A friendly, harmonious locker room probably produces a p. boring product.

These type of fans would rather watch anime porn than actually get laid so that is an important distinction and these people all by and large have zero real life experience in testosterone driven environments and legitimate financial stakes.

So naturally they will support the type of performers that panders to them with all inclusive acrobatic play fighting.

I feel bad for reacting harshly towards Ace Steel. If someone is starting trouble around my wife and my best friend’s dog, I’d be mad as hell and ready to throw shit too.
