I think now that I've read all this, the best thing for TK to do would be to do nothing until someone doesn't show up to TV. This might even be a situation where he winds up losing both sides if he does something. What if the guys are mad he didn't do something sooner? I'd just get everyone in a room, tell them I have the book, if you don't like it you can leave, but I'm not gonna do shit and you guys are gonna do your jobs. Eventually someone won't show up to TV and that'll solve the problem, or nothing will happen and you continue to make money.

Am I the only one who thinks that Cody is really missed in this type of situation? He seems like he could help mediate a dispute between Punk and The Elite.

I am? OK.

For what it's worth the PPV Media Scrum (including all the Punk comments) is still up on the AEW Youtube page. So, they aren't running from this.

More importantly, the bakery in Chicago must be super stoked how much attention Punk paid to those delicious looking muffins even during his rage.

That’s the ultimate sign of quality pastries.

These type of fans would rather watch anime porn than actually get laid so that is an important distinction and these people all by and large have zero real life experience in testosterone driven environments and legitimate financial stakes.

So naturally they will support the type of performers that panders to them with all inclusive acrobatic play fighting.
Not far off.

Tony Khan and some of the guys were also drinking Spindrifts up there. In spite of everything that went down last night, AEW seems like a great place to work!

It probably is tbh. This kind of thing only happens somewhere where ultimately everyone is pulling in the same direction. These kinds of conflicts only happen when your roster is super motivated and striving for greatness. At the end of the day they're fighting about the best way to build a wrestling match!

Considering how many times players fight in real sports, why is it surprising that people who fake fight for a living get in real ones? This shit happens when you get a bunch of testosterone and alpha male personalities around each other
It happens. When it gets out is when there’s a major story. Punk and company not getting along isn’t a big issue. That Punk is willing and able to address those issues at a live press conference is virtually unheard of.

The one report says Ace wasn;t there when it started. He came in when the confrontation was already underway. So he sees his best friend in some kind of fight. His wife is also in the middle of this.

Of course he's going to throw down. Most people are, let alone a brain damaged wrestler.

Everything past the Colt stuff seemed pretty much to be more worky than shooty.

The Target line was good, but could also go in a real promo if that was a direction they are heading.

At the end of the day, does this draw money? Shades of grey? The casuals are very much not paying attention to pressers or shoot names and the neck beards just want their flippy dos and cuss words.
Maybe a little ratings boost for a week, which theoretically can hook more people into the TV and eventually PPV?
Maybe Russo swerved us and he's secretly booking AEW.

Nobody's gonna make it out of this unscathed. So Ace Steel like actually hit one of the Bucks with a chair like it was a shoot and badly hurt them. It was said nobody can imagine how Ace would ever be brought back to TV so I can see how this goes south from there. I would post more but I don't want the board to get flagged or anything.

And then people are talking about there being heat on Hangman for knocking people out with his clothesline gimmick. Dirt's flowing now.

I should also point out that it took literally eight years for Punk to finally get prodded into saying something more than a sentence about Colt. Meanwhile for the better part of a year people have been spreading rumors that he personally forced Tony to send Colt home. Really though nothing's changed between Colt and Punk, there's just the fact of people interjecting themselves into it now.

Actually you know what I'm also gonna point out that Colt could have squashed the rumor that Punk had him fired and he didn't. Even though it clearly didn't happen that way.

- Ace bit Omega
- Punk may have gotten ambushed but nobody's talking (lol)
- Almost everyone in the company thinks Punk was wrong
- Lots of people think Punk should be let go.
- Rumor that Punk got hurt.
- Any MJF/Punk comments are just a work

Specifically the rumor is that Punk tore his pec which would resolve the situation in the interim I'd think.

My thing on the whole "sides" issue is are they against Punk just because of the media scrum or is it other issues?

How are you on the side of a group that (allegedly) was leaking things to Meltzer and others, had their boy publicly start shit in a live promo, annnnnnnnnnd have a nepotistic history from their early Indy days, all the while being "Executive Vice Presidents" of a company?

I'm biased. But, if this leads to the The Elite leaving AEW then Punk will be the biggest babyface in the history of the business. Hopefully Best Friends are real upset about it to. They all can go have hot lava matches and give each other papercuts.

If Punk leaves it instantly decreases my interest in the product. If any of his guys also leave like FTR leave it just compounds it.

If any of the Elite leave it makes me like the product more. Obviously I realize that doesn't apply to everyone!

I'm in love with the segment of fans who are only referring to him as Phil Brooks on twitter now.

The histrionics are fucking insane. I think the bucks are in the wrong but I'm not calling for them to be fired or even punished. Some of these people are death threating Punk.
