It feels like if FOX had their druthers and a show like X-Files came out in the present day, FOX would cancel it after 1 and 1/2 seasons because it was too mythology based and not episodic enough (or romantic enough between Scully/Mulder).

Interesting that you use that example as FOX is in the works to bring X-Files back.

Fox will bring it back on the name value but probably treat it the same way Harley mentioned, as that is all too accurate.

To be honest this has the feel of Sleepy Hollow being a Kevin Reilly show, and thus the new Fox chairs are trying to bury it.

Speaking as a big fan of the movie-I couldn't get into the show.

Anyways, CBS has pulled "Irish Stereotype Half Hour" (aka "The McCarthy's") from it's schedule, and NBC might bring back "Law and Order" for a ten episode run. Also, "Allegiance" bombed in it's premier, and the only new show on NBC that hasn't been cancelled or isn't bombing/in it's last season/completed it's last season is "The Mysteries of Laura"

The way they aired the first season was awful. It was out of order and didn't air on any schedule. Would air a few episodes then nothing for a while and then season 2 took a while after that to finally air. And when it did air, it was on at the worst time. Not surprised.

You know that show "Unforgettable"? The one that CBS cancelled twice? Well, A&E decided to pick it up for another season.

Well MJH called it a "series finale" on twitter last week. Then she said she was happy to see Darren Young back on Raw.

From what I understand, TBS has pretty much cancelled all of their 100% original programming. They still have "American Dad" and "Conan", but that's it. That and "Cougar Town" is ending this season.

"Beauty and the Beast" got a fourth season before the third one has even aired. Apparently, some of the reasons this is happening are 1.) The CW is looking to make it a summer show 2.) It's actually a favorite of the president of the network and 3.) Though it gets poor ratings, the shows fans are actually very passionate about the thing.

Also, for those who care, here's the upcoming Cartoon Network upfronts.

Yet Metalocalypse. Still in limbo. It almost sounds like Adult Swim is the one not keen on bringing it back

I kind of felt the show was beginning to lose it's appeal a pinch in the last season and the one hour special. It wasn't bad, but there is only so much that you can do with the premise, and it was starting to run on fumes IMO. I don't even know if Brendan Smalls is even all that interested in it anymore.

I don't watch it, but "Jane the Virgin" is a Golden Globe winner (which I think is a first for the network) and a critical darling, so...
