Oh sure. Maybe that was the sticking point. I don't think we'll have attended sports, major concerts until Fall 2021, at the earliest. I guess point that I was trying to make is we're easing social restrictions really for no other reason than people are going stir crazy. It's a really damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. A lot of Americans are too stubborn to follow restrictions in the first place so I guess at some point, you got to just let whatever happens happen and hope there's enough smart people to clean up the mess.

The whole original point of this was "flatten the curve" right? Spread infections out to prevent a run on hospitals? That seems to have happened in most states, almost too well because now hospitals are furloughing staff because nobody is coming in for anything BUT COVID and officials have to come out and basically tell people "yes, if you are having a heart attack, come to the fucking hospital". I think most people are still on board with social distancing and some restrictions (especially when it comes to the elderly, who are getting slammed by this), but things were bound to reach this point eventually, especially when we see other countries start to open up. We weren't going to be doing this for 12-18 months. Hell, anyone thinking it would last 6 months would be kidding themselves, especially with the economic damage that has already occurred (which can't just be glossed over).
