I've gotten to appreciate both of them so much over time. I liked them a lot before the whole death thing but it seems like now I give them the credit they deserve for all they really accomplished. Hell Pillman might be the only guy I can be entertained by when he's dogging it.

Alternate universe, we get Bigelow and Vader vs Rock n Roll Express and it's the best work of Morton's career.

Early '90s WCW would have been aided so much by them not seeing RNR Express as washed and/or breaking them up into singles. So many good tag team matches we missed out on. I feel like they could have been a viable act for them until '94/'95 (and later if they somehow convinced them to change their look)

Yeah it was their look that made them feel like they outstayed their welcome. Morton could've extended the big time career a little longer than Gibson, though, because you can't shave off a google eye.

They should have changed their look and attire to match the change in musical acts’ looks.

They oddly already felt a little out of place in 1990. Since they left in very early 1988 and with WCW/WWF actually turning over rosters back then, their 1990 run feels like a nostalgia run almost. They got some good reactions and had good matches though.
If there was room at the top, Ricky Morton probably should have angled for a upper card single spot. They had fallen afoul with Dusty though, so a real push was not to be. I believe Dusty even booked their split.
Robert was going to be DOA w/o Punky though.

Bam Bam had two disappointing runs in NWA/WCW. Dusty brought him in in 88 right as he was about to be fired so that hurt the Bammer because Flair hated him. Then in 90 the promotion was falling apart under Ole. Bam Bam always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. 87/88 he was only going to go so far with Hogan still on top. Then the Clique stuff in mid 90s

I was seriously thinking about them doing a bitter aging '80s buttrock gimmick where they hate everyone for betraying them when the decade started.

Hell, an aging rock fan that still thinks he is hip but is outdated in his attire and thinning locks while everyone else has moved on would be the start of a pretty good gimmick. Maybe even for a tag team.

My university had a guy like that in 2000. Him and his wife were both students, in their 40s. Never knew his real name, just his rocker name or alternatively "the 80s guy." There would have been a market for that gimmick in wresting that resonated with a lot of people. The older fans would have cheered, the younger fans would have booed. A Bret Hart heel in US/face in Canada situation.

The RNR’s theme music in 1990 was a killer. Sure, everyone in WCW at that time used lame stock music but Ricky and Robert were coming out to an instrumental that was played on Salute Your Shorts when Budnick and Michael pretended to be sick to get out of instructional swim. Made them look deeply uncool.

Road Block confronted Hogan in the gym the morning of the show where he shoot took down Gang. Hogan no sold him which is why he thought he had to rush the ring to get noticed

I know it probably evens itself out but I can watch Benoit all day but never broach a show that has Zumhofe near it. It's hampered a lot of my AWA diving.

Road Block would've fit in well in ECW around then. Like I know he isn't the best worker but he's genuinely one of the most mobile immobile guys ever that Heyman could've made something bigger.
