I'll watch the premier of Colbert' Late Show, but I think I'm done with Late Night Talk Shows now that Craig's gone. His show was so delightfully odd and I'm gonna miss his non-pandering interviews.

Not late night but speaking of Ferguson, he's going to be hosting a nightly, half hour syndicated talk show that will air at 7 P.M., starting in Fall 2015.

Can't say I saw that coming. Honestly thought, that'd he just do stand up and maybe be a fill in on Live with Kelly & Michael after he's done on The Late, Late Show.

Article I read implied that he would do both.

I'm with Zetterberg. I think it'd be hard for Ferguson to adapt his show to a half hour format. It'd be hard for him to adapt his show for an early evening audience. Both? I could see him doing well with a half hour, early evening show on cable maybe but when his competition is Entertainment Tonight and Inside Edition? It'd be tough.

UPDATE: Comedy Central just sent out this official statement confirming the news, and saying that Stewart will remain with The Daily Show until later this year. It also says that the show will “endure for years to come,” suggesting that it won’t end with Stewart

Wonder if John Oliver regrets jumping over to HBO since he was probably the obvious heir apparent before he did that. I mean his show is successful over there and all but I'm not sure he would have made the move if he only knew he'd have to wait a year or two to take over for Stewart.
