Legion. I did his mission and then took Tali's side. I didn't even think about it when I started the Suicide mission.

Aah, I had enough Paragon to choose the both of them during their arguement. So crisis adverted there.

Legion:
I brainwashed the geth, which was the paragon way of doing it, it shall be interesting in ME3 if the geth join me and somehow live in co-existance with the quarrians.

Insanity is mucho harder this time around. I've gotten my ass handed to me 10 straight times trying to pick up my first teammate.

Dammit, Miranda's all pissy because I took Jack's side over their little arguement and won't talk to me even after I did her side mission and got her a sexy black leather outfit. Bitch. Looks like my Yeoman Kelly will be the one that Shepard will be making go "Ohhhhh, man" later on.

Waiting to start my second playthrough, but I'm disappointed to find that I won't be able to change my Advanced Weapon Training choice on the next playthrough. Damn my shotgun fetish!

I finished the game and want Mass Effect 3 right now as this one essentially was a teaser for the upcoming game. Going to be playing it through once again as my female renegade character and probably won't be going after any romance options this time as I'm sticking with Liara from the first game. Apparently if you cheat on your first game love then it'll have an effect on things in Mass Effect 3. My male Shepard is screwed in that regard as he had Liara in the first game and Tali now. What can I say, he likes popping cherries.

Im glad I got to nail Tali, because Ive been wanting to do it since ME1.

I originally nailed Ashley in my playthough, and since she was a mean bitch to me. Fuck her.

I nailed Jack after like one conversation but that didn't count for the achievement...so I had to keep playing nice with Miranda.

The lesson clearly being that easy girls aren't worth a thing.

Yeah I should have picked up the sniper rifle for my Soldier. Hardly ever use the Krogan shotgun since the ammo capacity sucks and I can't use SMGs so screw that.

I fucked miranda. Had everyone loyal. Chose tali in the arguement but told legion I was lying after so kept his loyalty. I used Garrus since he joined the squad in ME1 and I lost him because I chose Miranda to hold the barrier. :( Also chose to destroy the base....I don't trust the illusive man. Can't wait to see if the last decision has a big effect in ME3.

Not going to spoiler it since it's purely speculation, but does anyone else think that maybe the bartender in the Illium is Liana's dad? Liana's a trueblood, Benezia never talked about the father, and the bartender already said that they had fathered a child, but it didn't work out. I don't see Bioware making that into a throwaway line, unless they just intended it as a red herring.

Just idle speculation.

You know, if they save ME3 for the launch of a new XBox, I'm going to be fucking pissed. Hell, I'm pissed I have to wait three years for them to make the damn thing. And I still haven't finshed my first playthrough yet.

I find Legion to be an interesting character. The fact that the Geth don't even inhabit the Quarian home world and instead maintain it like as a remembrance like Auschwitz is different but in a totally awesome way.

I don't know about you guys but playing as the renegade is a lot more fun then being a clearcut "good guy". It's fun talking shit to other characters and knowing that if they try anything you can essentially end their existence. Oh, and the sniper rifle rules. Playing as an infiltrator and blowing guys heads up is good fun.

The New York Giants have defeated the Beijing Dragons in an upset, 24-19, at Super Bowl CCXIX.

That's just tremendous.

By the way, had an awesome moment during my playthrough recently

I'm doing the side mission where you have to shut down the Blue Suns decoy beacon. I fight my way in with Grunt and the merc and get jumped by the two YMIRs. I direct my guys to cover, pull out my sniper rifle and incendiary ammo (which works well on barriers, don't worry about disruptor ammo) and go to town. Due to some unexpected pathing, my two guys get caught in a crossfire and get blasted, but not after removing both mechs' barriers and one of their armor layers. I cover and retreat up to the staircase leading to the locked door leading out trying to figure out what to do. I jump out after both fire their rockets, hit my Adrenaline Rush and headshot the fuck out of the closer one (without the armor). I knock him out and jump back in to cover before getting completely wiped out by the other mech and get ready to go out in a blaze of glory. Then I hear a siren and see a red light. Turns out that I not only knocked out the one mech, but the last head shot caused him to go nuclear. The other mech walks right past the wreckage just as it explodes. The resulting mini-mushroom cloud takes out the other mech and I survive with about 1/10 of my health left.

It's the little things in this game I appreciate.

Just finished. WANT 3 NAO!

Ended up losing Thane, Garrus (dammit!) and Miranda. I also destroyed the base and told Illusive Man to fuck off. That was a fucking pulse pounding final mission.

I have a save just before the last mission and I'm redoing it since

I lost Thane, Zaeed and Mordin. Also I kept the base and I'm regretting my decision.

Its confirmed to be released for the 360, and may be out at the end of 2011.

Well, at least that's one good thing about EA, they can throw enough money and employ enough people that you don't have to wait 3 years for the next game.

Well, my gripes about the game in pre-release were completely unfounded. My new favorite game, pretty much. Unbelievably good. I changed my vanguard to an adept this time through, and loved it.

The final mission was great, though the Collector Ship mission was probably my favorite in the whole game. I managed to get everyone out on the suicide mission:

Sent Tali through the ventilation shaft, had Garrus lead the fire team, had Samara hold the barrier against the swarms, put Jacob in charge of the diversion team, and had Mordin take the Normandy crew back to the ship. As it turns out, good thing I picked Mordin; I'm reading now that he randomly dies pretty often in the last gunfight. I just thought he had proven himself to be so efficient as a one-man killing machine on Omega that he was a good choice to send off alone. I also had all the ship upgrades and had everyone loyal. Had a Serenity-esque fakeout with Jacob getting shot in the gut, but surviving. I guess the key is just to get the upgrades, get your team loyal, and pick logical teammates for the jobs.

Next up: infiltrator. Too many good level designs to not take advantage of them with a sniper.

Agreed, which makes me even madder that I passed up on the best sniper rifle (though, they're releasing a new shotgun via the Cerberus Network). Also, the cloaking ability is an absolute life saver.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out what class to go through once I do Insanity with my Soldier. I'm interested in the shotgun they're offering today since it's supposedly a "distance" shotgun. Maybe Infiltrator, since then I can grab the mega-sniper and go to town.

I actually rather like the design of the armor they released today, but, alas, non-removable helmet. It's a little too weird talking to people through glass all the time.

Thinking about it, the only thing I didn't like quite as much as the original game was the lack of conversations in the N7 missions. Even though most of the side missions in the original game were cut-and-paste affairs with identical bunkers and containers full of meaningless loot, almost all of them had some sort of conversation element where you met a key NPC or two and chose one of several ways to resolve the mission. These really filled out the RPG side of "action RPG," and also led to some of the better callback moments in the second game. The N7 mission environments are definitely better for combat, but it would have been nice to see some that included more than just a combat story. I'm hoping that the upcoming DLC enabling the Hammerhead (a vehicle similar to the Mako in the first game) will open up a few exploratory missions that introduce some NPCs.

I'm hoping for the next game they bring back more items like guns and armor and whatever else. I want it to be like Dragon Age Origins because after I kill some big time baddie I want to loot his corpse.

My brother got me this the other day. I never played the first one... so would it be okay to start this one right up or should I go through the first one?
