Heh, I didn't catch that at the time. Cool. *I*

I normally never buy DLC, but I sprung for the Kasumi DLC. If you're looking for something that's purely a big value gameplay-wise, you'll be disappointed. The mission that she has you do is less than an hour long even at my piddly pace (about 45 from beginning to end). Although, you do get Kasumi herself for your crew (who is an infiltrator, basically) and you get a really great SMG that doesn't require you to constantly re-compensate for the aiming.

I downloaded the demo, but I have not finished the first game. Should I hold off until I beat Mass Effect?

So it's being ported over to the PS3 and being released in January. Kind of pointless though as the series is a trilogy and the first one won't be available on the PS3.

Yup the bioware forums are ablaze with trolls for the ps3 decision.

Bioware has sold out etc etc.

BioWare has nothing to do with it. I mean once EA got its hands on them I think it was a foregone conclusion that this would happen. Honestly, who really gives a shit anyway? It's the same game it's just now out on the PS3 as well. Fanboys are lame.

So PS3 users will be playing ME2 at about the same time I'm getting ready for ME3?

OH NOES!! Seriously, why the fuck should the message board trolls care? It's not like it's violating the integrity of the game or something. Wait, they're trolls. Never mind.

Shepard.

Anyhow, the "Liara blows up the Shadowbroker" DLC is out, and I should be playing it soon. I can't wait to see how it goes.

BTW, on everyone's ME1 play throughs, did you guys kill the Rachni or let her go?

I killed it. It was the hardest choice I made in the game. Not as hard as leaving the wookie to die in KOTOR though. His cries haunt my dreams.

I did run throughs with both. I already finished the "let Rachni live" character (my Soldier) so now I'm playing as the "melted the bitch down" character (Sentinel). Wierd not seeing the messenger in Illium, and I still have the feeling that the Rachni are going to be the Alliance's ace in the hole for ME3.

And the extra information you get after the mission is just tremendous. Miranda's personal life is hilarious.

Oh snap, there's a car chase in this DLC! Just wall to wall action, but it doesn't seem like you get any cool weapons in this one. And I finished it in less than two hours.

I've had Mass Effect for a couple of years and Mass Effect since it came out but for some reason didn't get around to playing them. Playing the first one when I wasn't in the best of moods and then playing other games meant they stayed hidden.

Finished the first one yesterday and am now onto the second. I was a goody two-shoes soldier, so basically the most boring guy ever. I imported into 2 and became the guy that charges everything. A lot more fun. Definitely agree that Shepard has a bit more attitude. I like the conversation with Joker where he's like "I don't want to repeat the old days that much, I died."

And I like the bit where Miranda mentions, "I'm an agent and you're our asset."

One of my buddies works for EA and is moving to Montreal next week to work on ME3. I will undoubtedly be sending him emails demanding updates whenever I get drunk.

Garrus' 'reach and flexibility' anecdote has put him up as my favourite character.

I told Jack I didn't want a relationship, but she thought I still wanted one, or sometghinf. I had to tell her I was going with Tali, and she could deal with it. Now she won't speak a word to me except "Fuck off!" Emo bitch. This should make Mass Effect 3 interesting.

Just "finished" Shadow Broker. I use quotes since it doesn't go away when you're done. God, this game never stops rocking ten bells and a gong.

This game is fucking amazing. Should've known it would be, given that it's from the same devs that made Dragon Age. The motion comic that explains ME1 is really great, too. Though I do wish I could play that game. Maybe I'll pick it up for PC at some point. But, ME2, yeah.. fucking amazing. Apparently the PS3 version was done from the ground up using the engine that ME3 is going to be using. Good times!

That comic leaves so much out, though. For me, seeing EVERY decision I made in Mass Effect 1 have some kind of result in ME2 was big for me.

Ah, what can ya do though? MS has the publishing rights for the first game so it's a no-go for PS3 users. =\

Which is why i find the jump to ps3 silly.

Yes from a marketing standpoint its financial gold. Hell im tempted to double dip to the PS3 version soley because i want to build my PS3 lineup.

From the story perspective it alienates the completeists whom will sit down and play all 3 games in the way they are designed to be. Every playthough is different depending on how the player is feeling and that correlates over all 3 games. Having a motion comic detailing some of the important life choices in the game leave the player with a sence of bleh.
