Yeah, there was a pop-up message during the transfer saying to go there. When I went there, it gave instructions on changing the DRM license from the system's profile setting. It said I may have to re-download some things but so far, no problems.

Speaking of messages popping up, I see the youtube app now supports ads. Thankfully they're closed very easily.

Trials Evolution finally came out today. Everyone play it so we can battle on the leaderboards.

On second thought the photos make it look way more complicated than Trials.

Edit: But not Trials HD, which I had never played but assumed was like the games we used to have on TSM Arcade. Trials Evolution is awesome.

I've got that old Xbox up and running. Is there any way to get online via wireless without tracking down the expensive, hard-to-find wireless adapter?

So is Trials: Evolution basically Little Big Planet with motorbikes? There's some really wild user stuff being put out with the level editor. Skee-ball is fun as hell as is Angry Bikers.

If I played and received achievements for the normal edition of the game, and later on bought the GOTY edition of a game, does it count the achievements I got originally or is it considered a new game?

I think it varies game to game. I believe most games are allmthe same achievements no matter if you have regular plus DLC, while a few out there are considered seperate. Is there a specific game you are wondering about?

Arkham City.

I didn't get any of the DLC, so I am probably going to pick up the GOTY edition. But does that mean I have to start over with the story-related achievements again?

I don't think so. The new disc should just use your old save and allow access to the dlc and it's achievements.

I played a GOTY that way, I can't remember which one, and that's how it did it. In fact I don't think any GOTY has had a separate achievement list on the sites I use to track such things...so you should be good.

For the most part they don't. I think there was maybe one or two that did for some reason, but I'm blanking on which, so I may just be wrong that any exist like that. Figured I could always check on the achievement sites I go to.

Alright, so, apparently I had a power surge or something roll through my cable modem that has left the ethernet ports on both my laptop and 360 useless.

My 360 is an older model without the built-in wi-fi. I have XBL Gold, but don't really use it for much outside of downloading new games/DLC or watching Netflix occasionally. I've played a game online against another human probably less than ten times in the almost three years I've had the thing.

Question: I have heard the wireless adapter is really not very good, but given my usage habits of XBL, would it work well enough for me to mostly just download content/watch Netflix or is it better to scrap the whole system and replace with a new model, even though everything but the ethernet port works perfectly?

I have the wireless adapter for my 360, and i have no issues with anything on line. I get the pretty much the same performance as when I had it hardwired to my router/modem.

I had pretty much the same thing happen to me a few years back. I went several months without XBL (though I rarely play online). Eventually found someone on Kijiji selling a used wireless adapter for $40. I don't really have any complaints with the thing, aside from it taking up a USB slot. (I've got the HD DVD drive, which has a couple extra slots of its own.) That, and the 360 software not being super adept at keeping WPA codes for multiple connections. (It's possible this has been fixed in recent updates.)

Thanks to those that replied. One of the local Gamestops claims to have a used adapter for $50. I'll try that first.

What is your XBL handle? Matthew.com?

Oh, yeah, I forgot to post it. It's MagnumMH2561 (one of my friends was telling me when he went to add me that the username was invalid so good luck)

The only online multiplayer games I have right now are MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12

That's fine, I just like to track people's game playing and leaderboard stats (get Trials Evolution and Pinball Arcade please).

Dragon's Lair is coming to XBL soon. Not sure if I'll get it given I already bought it in a billion different forms, but I note it because it's going to have Kinect support. WTF?

The arcade game. Although a version of the NES one that's actually playable might be nice.

I have been playing nothing but Fight Night Champion lately, enjoying beating up boxers I really dislike over and over again.

I hate that I can't cut anyone though. For some reason, it just never happens.
