how long until the epic rpg bubble bursts? it seems like every month there is a 60 plus hour rpg with a huge map and sidequests that is all basically the same game

As long as they sell. There'll be a new Elder Scrolls game in a few years, and another Fallout hopefully far sooner than that, and with those two (among others, those are the two that immediately spring to mind) the continued me-too piggybacking that's created the bubble in the first place.

So according to the singer (Donna Burke) of Metal Gear 5's main song, Kojima has indeed been fired. Konami turned around and has said that this is categorically incorrect. Meaning that likely Kojima was told "look, either you do what we want you to or you can quit. Your choice".

Just wow... How fucking stupid are companies? I mean, the moment you do something like that, you are going to kill a good chunk of the fan base doing something like that.

About the "less than two hours of play" part, does Valve have an alternate tracking system as well, that they don't show to you? Because if they're only using the "time played" mechanic that Steam uses, what's to stop someone from playing it to completion in offline mode and then getting a refund?

I picked up Fable Anniversary because I enjoy the series and never played the original. I like it so far though it isn't as fun as Fable 2 (probably because I played them out of order) and holy fucking shit the fishing minigame is awful. Other people who played this had to hate it too right?
