I really tire of Gamefly's inability to send me games released in my lifetime. I don't expect to always get the new releases, but I never do. I recently sent back MLB the show 09, and noticed that when Final Fantasy: Disedia released for the PSP it was listed as available. So I thought maybe just maybe I could get it. But no by the time they finally processed The Show it was at low availability and so they shipped MLB Spreadsheet. Great. Again, I know you can't always get the newer games, but I seemingly never do. The one excepting in the 2 1/2 years I've been a member was getting Dragonball Evolution for the PSP the week it came out. Boy I sure bet demand was high for THAT one.

I don't either. I'm cancelling my subscription when I send back the two games I have now (I still have about 2 weeks for this period).

I don't hate Gamefly, like say how I hated Gameznflix, but really they need some method to allocate newer titles better. I don't know what that is, but if I get nothing but 6+ month old games for several games in a row, perhaps just maybe I should get something newer on my list the next time. By the time I get half the games on my list I've forgotten that I even had them on the list, or even what the hell the game is.

In GF's defense, they do usually have pretty good prices if you decide to keep the game, and I've done that several times. The $5 discount each quarter helps too.

Rock Band: Beatles.

God this game is awesome..the visuals are simply beautiful and the photos you unlock with facts about the band is a nice touch.

I hate you.

Until us normal people can get it next week, then I won't hate you.

But it's Sonic Team, so attempting to go forward causes the game to glitch and send you into a bottomless pit

I figured this wasn't worthy enough to start a new thread, and I figured this thread would be best to ask. I'm on a laptop from 2004 and am going to get a new laptop for my birthday next month, so I was wondering instead of redownloading everything to my new laptop, would putting files from this laptop on a CD-RW and re-installing them on the new one actually work? I used to be big into tech stuff but I haven't been keeping up with anything with computers in the last few years, so I just wanna know the best bet to get files from this computer to the new one without obviously transferring the hard drive. CD-RW sounds good to me, but I could be completely wrong.

This is also the laptop where I save links from WWECLASSICS.com, so I'm assuming those folders can just be put on a cd and transferred since they are not actual files. Any help on what my best bet is would be appreciated.

Links, video files, music, etc should copy just fine. Although depending how much you have a CD-R could take forever. Get a USB thumb drive instead.

Programs though you need the original install files in most cases, you can't just copy the files off of your machine to a new one.

I am loathe to actual compile the list of games I have and haven't yet really played, but I'm sure it's just as long or longer than your list. But I notice there's a lot of overlap with your list. So hurry up and get playing so you can warn me of the ones that suck and aren't worth the time! (Protip: Too Human is one on your list that isn't worth the time.)

Just go ahead and play Mirror's Edge.

You'll have it completed by the time you finish reading the post.

I made it to the Rs in my game collection with my "play a level and move on" attempt to get through some of my pile.

Now I think I'm just going to grab the ones I liked best and finish those.

I am an idiot. I have two flash drives actually, one for my internship and one for school. I could just use that. Wow. I'm sorry I was born.

In any event, I know about the programs, like I'll have to re-download Trillian, etc. What about Microsoft Office? I'm assuming I'll have to reinstall that as well instead of putting that on my USB. The folder with the wrestling links should transfer fine on a USB, as should the folder I have actual video files in? I'm assuming so after your post.

Yes, you'll need the original disc or whatever you used to install Office. Your links should transfer fine, as should a folder with video files.

10 years ago today (9-9-99), Sega's final HOORAH, the Dreamcast, launched in North America. I've owned this system several different times over the years, and though I've always eventually sold it off, I always find myself eventually going back to it. Anyone have any fond memories of the Dreamcast other than me?

One of my best friends in high school had one. Told me the NFL 2k series was great. That was about the extent of what I heard about it throughout its life and well beyond, to be honest.

The 2 Powerstones are fucking classics. I have no clue how these haven't been put on XBL/PSN or reissued in some form.

I had one of the first systems out there. I used some work money I saved to nab one of last in stock the weekend after release. It was a reservation someone never bothered to pick up, so the clerk just gave it to me instead. I was psyched.

Nearly every game I had would never fail to freeze up on me. The only two that I could depend on to work consistently were NFL2K and Power Stone. It was a miracle if I could get MvC or Shenmue to work through a long session.

I eventually traded it in for a fraction of its value as the DC was dying out. By then something or other had broken off inside. It still worked, but whenever the lid was opened, it operated as if it were modded, even though it wasn't, which also devalued it.

It was a waste of money, sure, but I still want another. Although with emulation for it still improving, I don't know if I will.

I fucking love the Dreamcast. I still play Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5 to this day pretty much every week.

I bought one in the summer of 2000. I got Soul Caliber and Sonic Adventure and that was it for about a year, but I played the holy shit out of them. Soul Caliber was the first game I ever played where the home version was better than the arcade version.

I also have spent far too much time playing the DC port of Crazy Taxi.

I didn't have one, but my best friend during School had one, I was always around his. I'd bring my N64, and he'd have his DC ready and we'd basically spend the whole weekend playing between the two!

The original PSO was a great experience, though hammered your phonebill. Shenmue was amazing at the time too, Panzer Dragoon Saga, ergh, so many good RPGs! DRAGON FORCE!
