Never got to play it last night..watched the Thursday game then wound up watching the news then Mitch Hedburg (sp?) on DVD from Netflix before going to bed.

I'll try to play tonight, unless MUA2 came in today..in which case, I'll be playing that.

Just pre-ordered my copy off your review! In all seriousness though, can't wait for the game, and can't believe how hard it is to find the original copy for the 360 :(

I beat MUA2 an hour or two ago.

Not all that happy with how things turned out...

What do you guys know about modding systems? I thought Microsoft could easily ban modders, but it turns out that that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm really tempted after seeing my friend get The Beatles: Rock Band, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Guitar Hero 5 for a grand total of $30, but I'm worried about possible banishment. Also, I have a collector's mentality and really like to have the actual discs and cases and such.

Why are you asking? I don't know a thing about stuff like that, I swear!!

I know that you don't need to ask about it in two threads.

I posted about it here first and then edited the post to something about the Dreamcast, and reposted the original pirating discussion in the Xbox thread. Weird how my edited message no longer shows up.

WHa? Bad storyline or just generally bad gaming experience?

Gaming experience wasn't too bad..I mean, pretty much the same thing from last year's game. Only thing is that I seem to remember MUA 1 having the same type of power system that XML 1 and 2 had in that you could choose different powers to use instead of being stuck with a clear, ranged, melee and special power.

Having the fusion as one of the triggers caused me to mistakingly use a fusion instead of a super power a few times but nothing that really made me go "aw fuck..this totally screws up this battle..."

The end boss is fucking Nick Fury. Well..-NANITE- Nick Fury.

See, as you progress thru the game the Pro-Reg guys find a way to use nanite tech to turn the villians into willing supporters in their war against the Anti-Reg terrorists. Welp..near the end of a mission in which you're helping Fury disarm some bombs and fighting Nanite Venom and Goblin, the final bomb explodes and your team, along with Fury are presumed dead.

So this is where the story branches off of the Anti/Pro story and you work with Fury in trying to find out more about the Nanites and this collective later known as "The Fold." Long story short, the Nanites seem to become a collective that can take over all of Earth by passing on little nanites into anyone to take them over, thus making Stark's failsafe plan of just turning them "off" a moot point. You go into the Negative Zone..fight some more guys and in this both Cap and Iron Man figure out that shit got real. You all get out and back to Earth while Fury stays behind.

At this point, I should point out that Tinkerer was working with Fury to figure out the Nanite tech and he (Tinkerer) winds up infecting Fury and making him into the "next step" of the Nanite Tech. This, you find out near the end of the game whilst the Pro and Anti teams join back up and set off to Wakanda to aide Black Panther.

End game comes with going into the Nanite mother ship / main base and trying to upload a code to shut them all down. Fight Tinkerer and a few other bosses before finally fighting Fury. After this..uhm, its a speech by Cap at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and then the game just kinda ends. I didn't sit and watch all of the credits as twenty seconds in, it was just peoples names and nothing more.

It kicks you back into the Wakandan palace and tells you that you can start a new game+ at a higher diff since you can't start a new game from the main menu and still get a new game+.

To get Thor, Hulk and Jean Grey, you have to find hero archives. Thor is Asgardian Runes, Hulk is Gamma tubes and Jean is some kind of tech from some group of people I can't remember.

So overall? I'd say 7/10..it just didn't do much to make the game feel different than MUA 1 and in fact, sort of felt like it regressed more than anything. Also, no awesome ending with them telling you how things turned out for not doing or not completing side missions or shit...the only real choice you make is Pro or Anti.

The redownload i did is working beautifully.

The game really doesnt feel like a Halo title. Especially since every fucking ODST character in the Halo universe has been basicly a Red Shirt, its odd playing as one and taking on hordes of enemys.

Edit: Crap ending/10

Anyone know how I can track how many subscribers/listeners my podcast gets through iTunes? Since we've been up on there (again) our feedburner says that we've not had any listeners so we can only assume* that they are now listening though iTunes.

So I started Tomb Raider Legend last night and I'm already stuck on the first major puzzle of the game (the room with the wire boxes and the stone seesaw).

That's not good.

Isnt that the one where you have to push the stone onto the seesaw and launch it onto a platform?
