In terms of his temperament and talking about his background and pre wrestling life, he sounds kind of like Hardcore Holly. Dude just likes rough housing.

People also forget he got his big break later in life. He started wrestling in '89 and didn't really click until 2000 when he started the Kid Rock wannabe gimmick while in his 30s.

I was actually a huge Kash mark in the early 2000s. I maintain he would have become ECW world champ by the end of 2001 had ECW held on a bit longer.

Most interesting thing I learned from the interview was that Kid Kash signed a five year guaranteed contract with the XWF so he didn't have to take a 2nd job at the Sunglasses Hut cause TNA was underpaying him.

I'm glad that the front office at the XWF inherited WCW's free spending ways.

Oh man. The podcast mentioned above has the funniest/saddest pilled out, late era Curt Hennig stories. Apparently, he was supposed to go over David Flair in the stupid axe on a pole match but decided he didn’t want to climb the pole and called an audible and put Flair over half assedly at the last second.

Then he went on some morning radio show to bitch about how he wasn’t allowed to have any creative input then multiple people rebutted that he sat in on creative meetings and was allowed to contribute to his character arc.

RIP.

The way Jeff Jarrett compared knowing Curt Hennig when he first met him during Curt’s AWA World Title run and Curt during his TNA run was low key one of the saddest things I have ever heard on a wrestling podcast. Which is kind of saying something.

It’s especially poignant since Jeff Jarrett talked at top of podcast about how he wasn’t able to maintain successful relationships in life until he got sober. I bet he realizes he very easily could have ended up like Hennig.

Thinking about it, Jarrett is probably one of the best off second generation guys ever. It has to be like him, Chavo, and Greg Gagne. So many others have gotten fucked up beyond repair.
