Russia Invades Ukraine

There's talk from Ukraine that they think they stopped the invasion and/or Russia is going to be out of resources on Sunday lmao

Putin just told Macron to go to Hell when he suggested withdrawing so yeah, it does seem PRETTY OPTIMISTIC to think he'd withdraw less than a week later but Idk.

This morning MSNBC's "big board" was showing that Russia had troop ships ready to unload near Odessa and that a land strip had been secured near Mariupol that would allow supplies to flow in from Mother Russia.
Then again 12 hours ago could be a whole different world.

Yeah, there is a ton of Nazi shit in Ukraine. That's never really been in question. What has been, though, is using it as a basis for Putin to invade. Nevermind the RIM (the group that Putin is allegedly targeting) and its ties to American white nationalist groups, the level of antisemitism in Russia has been steady for decades, and overall racism has skyrocketed since the collapse of the USSR (thanks, in large part, to the declining birthrate of native Russians, which fueled a state-sponsored welcoming of immigrants from all over).

And every last bit of it has been met with either praise or tongue-in-cheek "shaming" by Putin.

San Marino's PM (or whatever their head of state is called) rn probably:

Leading scientists all say the world will be virtually uninhabitable in 100 years if we keep using fossil fuels and people don't care.

Fossil fuel-producing country invades their neighbor and then we start doing Green New Deal stuff.

Fuckin' people...

Seems about right tbh.

People are also bitching about how high gas prices are and blaming the wrong people (Biden, Trudeau) instead of the gas companies. Canada hasn't imported from Russia since 2019, America gets 5% of it's oil from Russia. We are being gouged. A competent government would go on the attack and point this shit out.
