I did a comparison between TekSavvy and Start cable packages a little while ago. I think TekSavvy's 300GB/month plans may have gone up a few bucks in price since then. This was using my postal code in London; could be different where you are. I'll copypaste what I wrote before:ギース・ハワード said:Mine is currently 150GB. I went over by 65GB (about $70) last month due to PS4 launch - though I was fully aware and okay with paying the overage since I am on a promotion where I get 70% off my internet costs for 2 years.. but that ends next week and I'm switching to another provider that offers 300GB and Unlimited packages, thankfully.
Seems like if you want unlimited traffic, Start is better--it's only a $10/month bump to unlimited, whereas with TekSavvy, the bump increases quite a bit at higher speeds. (It's $45/month extra at 45Mbps.)
If you're a heavy uploader, Start offers upgrades to 10Mbps upload speed for $10/month, and upload traffic doesn't count against their caps.
If you're a heavy downloader--but not unlimited heavy--TekSavvy offers higher traffic caps (300GB/month) as their baseline at higher speeds. And their 45Mbps non-unlimited plan is $5 cheaper. ($3 now)
They both charge the same $100 + $10 shipping for a DCM476 cable modem. Both offer unlimited usage between 2AM-8AM. Start's install is $50; TekSavvy's is $65, or $45 with modem purchase. Both have $0.50/GB overage on non-unlimited plans; Start has a $25 maximum, TekSavvy has $50. (Though in my experience on DSL, TekSavvy supposedly takes a rolling average of 3 months for your traffic before they get into charging overages.)
No, that's how it is. What you can do is start the download, then when you're ready to shut down, go to Users on the XMB (all the way to the left), then all the way up to Turn Off. On that screen, there's a check box to automatically shut down after downloads are finished. I'm pretty sure it will install the game as well.Edwin said:PS3 all hooked up and diving into the back catalog. Regarding digital games, though: holy shit, that installation process is awful. Is there some secret I'm missing? It took over 30 minutes to install Shadow of the Colossus.
