So, I caved and picked up a PS4 yesterday. I bought Outlast this afternoon since I am a sucker for "Found Footage" anything. I really like what I've seen so far, and the game is as creepy as anything you could ever imagine. Just wish there was a fight back button of some sort.

Supposedly, this is the North American PS+ lineup for July. This should be the first month where everything is released all at once at the start of the month.

I remember thinking Vessel looked really cool. Don't care about anything else in that list though

Guess I can try Dead Space 3. Really didn't have a strong urge to play it but for free I'll give it a go. Plus is really seeming lackluster since they changed up the format.

I don't have a PS4 yet, and I didn't realize until today that I could have still been adding the PS4 free games to my plus account for download when I do get one. Hopefully I didn't miss anything too great thus far.

Yeah I'm disappointed that I didn't do that before I had a PS4 and ended up missing out on Outlast

PSN has a pretty decent Super Hero themed sale on right now. Picked up Lego Marvel Super Heroes for $8.40.

Earlier up on the thread, I was talking about being interested in Murdered: Soul Suspect. Well this past week I rented and beat it, and I go into detail about my impressions on this week's GADD (http://culturecrossfire.com/gaming/gaming-with-gadd-22)

It's a dumb dumb dumb DUMB DUMB game

August PS+ list supposedly got leaked. Games on that list:

PS4: Octodad and The Swapper
PS3: Saints Row IV and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
PSV: 1001 Spikes and Atelier Rorona Plus

Hopefully 1001 Spikes will be cross-buy on the PS4, but either way that's a MUCH better list than what we had this month.

Well...it turns out that list I posted was fake, and the real PS+ list is WAY less exciting

PS4: The Road Not Taken and Fez
PS3: Crysis 3 and Proteus
PSV: Metrico and Dragon's Crown

Son of a bitch, I was looking forward to Octodad and 1001 Spikes

Yeah, Rogue Legacy is a great game. Played the shit out of it when it first came out on the PC.

August's PS+ freebies are now available.

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/free-games/cid=STORE-MSF77008-PSPLUSFREEGAMES

FYI: Dragon's Crown is a little odd; you're being offered both PS3 and Vita versions, but the game is not cross-buy. You have to specifically "purchase" both versions. Unlike, say, Fez, which is cross-buy, and will give you an error message if you try to add multiple versions to your basket.

http://kotaku.com/when-90s-tom-cruise-got-stuck-on-a-game-he-called-for-1616630487

Hardcore fans of the game might already know about this story (it's quietly done the rounds for years now among the community), but for everyone else: in the mid 90s, while on the set of Mission Impossible in London, Tom Cruise was playing Bungie's classic shooter Marathon. And he got stuck.

Because Tom Cruise does not call helplines, and because there wasn't really an internet for this kind of thing, Tom Cruise did what all smart celebrities do, and just called up Bungie's head office, where he was put through to writer (and later creator of Stubbs the Zombie) Matt Soell. Soell tells the story from there:

Technically his lackey called me; Tom Cruise has people to do these things for him, you know. I passed the call to Doug Zartman because the lackey was communicating poorly ("He's in a big dark room, there's a corridor going out of it but the door doesn't work, and there's this monster shooting at him, and there's another room he can see but he can't get to...") Ever try to explain to someone how to explain a Marathon Infinity level to someone else? You can imagine the difficulty. I was getting frustrated, as was the lackey, and Doug bravely volunteered to jump on the grenade, so I transferred the call. Moments later, Tom Cruise (who must have been pretty frustrated himself) grabbed the phone and started talking directly to Doug, who quickly helped him figure out whatever was confusing him.

I believe the lackey was still listening in on an extension or something because at one point Doug jokingly asked Mr. Cruise if he wanted to do an ad for the game and the lackey shouted "NO ENDORSEMENTS!"

Hotline Miami is out on PS4 today, aaaand it's cross-buy! Yay!

Hotline Miami is a cross buy game, so if you own it on PS3 or PS Vita then you already own it on PS4.

Velocity 2X looks fun but pretty intense. Not sure if I could even get past the first couple of stages unless I had time to actually sit down and play the game over and over.

Wasn't Arkham already free once? Am I imagining things? Also them including what's basically a demo in the free games listing is pretty questionable.
