You keep the DLC, themes and avatars that you downloaded with Plus even after it expires. Everything else is linked to Plus and is gone once it expires.

I assume they can't ask you for money back on discounted games though, right? When I downloaded, say, "Abe's Oddyssey", I had to read some deal stating I could only have the game as long as I was a Plus member because it was free, but at least one PS1 game I have was only at a discount price.

Correct. Venk, it's just like renting a video. You have to give it back in the end. But in this case, you get to keep it until you cancel your membership, and not just a few days. Anything you pay money for, even if it's discounted to 99 cents, is yours for life regardless of your PS+ status.

I think the only exception to the free rule are the avatars and themes. Those are yours as well, even after you cancel your membership.

Finally picked up Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep yesterday. I'm staying in a rural town/mountain for the week and could use some entertainment. It's been raining so much, so I busted out the PSP. Anyone have/play The 3rd Birthday yet? That's probably my next PSP purchase somewhere down the line. Still have to pick up the latest God Of War game too.

I've heard 3rd Birthday is pretty good except for the fact that they supposedly "Samus'ed" the main character.

Two questions now that I have a PS3:

1) Did the patch for the Orange Box fix all the problems with it? How much better is the 360 version than the patched PS3 version?
2) Where can I find the PS3 Orange Box for cheap? They used to have the damn thing in the budget rack at Walmart for $20 and now it's like $50 used on Amazon. But the 360 version is $20. What?

That's just strange. The worst version of the game. It's going in the $30-$50 range on eBay for used ones. No EBs near me have it new or used.

I have a copy somewhere around here, which I got as part of a bundle of stuff. Don't think I've ever played it, since I have it on PC, used to have it for 360, and I don't think it has trophies. Wouldn't have figured it to be worth much of anything.

FWIW, the worst version of MvC2, the PS2 version, was the most demanded version for a while. Screwy framerate, crappier music and everything.

Also of note. The Japanese PSN still isn't even online. Apparently credit card companies and the gov't have slowed it's relaunch. I really hope that this increased security doesn't somehow result in the stores being truly region locked.

The official word came down today, that it won't be today, but it will be highly likely one week from today.

Yeah, I just read that on the Playstation Blog. I'd say that once they can get it live, they will just launch it, and then work out a release schedule. Just follow the same pattern it took to get the PSN back up.

The release schedule to make up for lost time will be to do two content publishes a week: Tuesday and Friday.

Steam has the Escalation pack scheduled for June 3rd. So that may be an indication. Assuming the PS Store is back, by then, of course. You'd think that'd be one of those things that'd go out as soon as possible, whether there's a backlog or not.

You can just keep trying. I was able to break through and get my games. If you don't want to try to bust through, I'd say give them a day or two to handle the load.

I just can't download anything. I guess I was lucky to grab BTTF 3 (which I was so into the story I played right through it) because any transaction I try making in the store is met with an error code. But then, maybe I was only trying for the free games. I'm also looking for kostume packs for MK. Not out yet?
