There's also an explanation for why some games can be copied from a PS3 to a Vita, but not direct downloaded: The games were not fully done being tested for compatibility, but they worked "well enough", so they left that in as an option for more savvy users to be able to copy the games over. Every game has to be tested for Vita compatibility. (Possibly not PS one games, as you could conceivably just emulate the crap out of them like the PS3 does)

I was wondering about that. I bought the 3 PSP Persona's on my PS3 and then noticed that only #2 was actually in the Vita store. Thankfully I was able to copy 1 & 3 via the Content Manager app.

It's Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. The game will be revealed tonight on GameTrailers, and then IGN gets the exclusive in-depth.

So my ex-Sony employee friend, yesterday, said some things about the Vita that are supposed to happen within the next three months. Honestly, this all sounds way too good to be true, but here we go:

100% PSP game Compatibility (With games on PSN Store)
PS1 Classics Support
PS2 Classics Support
Android (Yes, ANDROID)
Ability to connect up with a PS3, and play your Vita games on your TV.

We'll see if this all happens by August. He also says that the next Xbox is getting BluRay (Rumor mill says this isn't unlikely), and as a result Sony's stock will go up at E3, though I thought Microsoft won't talk about the next xbox until next year.

Is there a character list out yet? I'm kind of curious who all is in it. I can't think of any one character that I like so much I'd have to go get the game, but it's possible. On the other hand I saw that Parappa the Rapper is in it, which is probably enough to keep me from playing it even if there's someone super cool available. Also, I saw some video, and I'm sure when it comes out I'll here how great it is and the fighting mechanics are super deep and hardcore and not like that little kiddy Nintendo game, but Christ could they have least tried to make it not LOOK like a 100% Smash Brothers clone?

The PS1 support can't come soon enough. I have so many of those games it's kind of annoying to have to switch between two handheld systems just to play them. =\

The logic would be the Vita would run Android and be able to run Android apps. Basically it would be an iPod Touch (Running Android) with buttons as well.

The problem I have with this is that, then, why put Skype and Netflix and Twitter and Facebook as Vita apps, if you're just gonna do Android? I have to admit, as I was listening to this guy talk, I responded to every statement he made with "You're fucking lying", but I want to believe SOOOOOOOO BADDDDDD.

My parappa story: I rented the game ONCE for ONE weekend in late 97 I believe. I have never played it since, nor seen any one else play it or see video of it or hear the songs in anyway. A friend picked it up for cheap a few years ago (after all the guitar heroes/ rock bands etc have already become mainstays) and we were shocked how unresponsive/ it didn't really need to be with the rhythm, and as it didn't we started dying quickly. We quickly just turned it off.

Parappa gives you more points when you ignore the note prompts and just press whatever, as long as whatever is to some kind of beat.

The new God of War game will have multiplayer. As long as it doesn't make for a shorter game and just an add on, ala Uncharted, then I will be fine with it. Can't say I'll play it much.

Pretty sure multiplayer is going in to make sure you won't trade your game back in when you're done. Lots of used GoW 3 out there. And remember, if you buy used, it's $10 to play multiplayer you likely don't care about.

How does the MP look? Is it a horde mode like Mass Effect, or a full on MP suite with versus and co-op modes?

It has to be horde. I can't figure out any plausible way to adapt the GoW gameplay to any competitive modes.

Gamestop and Bestbuy have the Playstation 3D display for $199. If I hadn't gotten my large 3D TV I'd be all over that at that price. Though the fact that the thing launched at $499 and in less than a year can be had brand new for $199 isn't very good for Sony.

Been playing Crimson Gem Saga. Its not been a bad game. Though I didn't realize you needed to purchase skills till around level 25, so I've made the game unnecessarily tough.

Pick it up if you`ve got a PSP.

You can check the rest of the stupid Internet for details, but Sony announced several new games on PS3 and Vita. They also announced that for Playstation All Stars and the new Sly Cooper, if you buy the Physical PS3 disc release, it'll have a coupon inside for the Vita version as a download. I mean either that, or they put the cartridge in the box. I assume it'd be a download code.

Also PS+ is coming to Vita. Hoping that means that it just carries over for existing subscribers as I don't really want to pay too much more just to apply it to my Vita.

Oh, and PS+ cloud storage is going from 150MB to 1GB.
