Star Wars Thread II: A Lack of the Posts

One last thing - Obi Wan determining that the Jawas were attacked by The Empire due to the "precision shooting" only a Stormtrooper has is the funniest line in the whole saga.

Are you implying that the Stormtroopers have the worst aim in the galaxy??

I was just thinking the other day how odd it is that the event that is the final push in Palpatine's plan and fall of the Jedi/Old Republic is glamorized with two cartoons dedicated to it while the whiz-bang adventures of Luke and the Gang are featured in the Holiday Special.

I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but I'd feel better about myself if they did a Super Hero Squad style cartoon for Star Wars. I think they make action figures for babies in the same style already.

I know they depicted events from Shadows of the Empire through TOPPs cards. I used to buy them by the packs to see what was happening. This was before I had a computer but I had heard that they were going to make another one and I (a 10 year old at the time) figured it would be about what happened between Episode V and VI.

I wish I knew more about what was going on between IV and V, especially the bounty hunter on Ord Mantell (which was IG-88 according to Shadows I think?).

Very cool pictures. I especially like the Luke and Vader picture from Return of the Jedi.

Let me guess, it's yet ANOTHER series based on The Clone Wars?

Well, it's not the same thing at all...but Muppet Babies was pretty cool when I was a kid.

Yeah....

What I would actually be interested in is a film adaptation of the Knights of the Old Republic game. That will never happen, of course. Lucas had little or nothing to do with the story of that game, and he would have to change the story around. He would make Canderous Ordo a bumbling idiot, and then have the main character turn out to actually be Revan.

I still feel that they could make a good movie from the game...I also happen to be playing through it again.

I find myself wondering if there's any chance of TV, (direct to DVD) films, any kind of adaptation of stuff from the Expanded Universe.

Get a few decent writers, solid animation studio, and Timothy Zahn to supervise, you could probably get a decent season/s out a TV show based on the Thrawn Trilogy.

I wouldn't mind an animated series that takes place AFTER RotJ. Is that too much to ask for?

Do a Rogue Fucking Squadron cartoon. Two seasons of that, and then do Wraith Squadron.

I've been pimping this for a while. Fuck do live action and shoot it "Band of Brothers" style or something if you want. The RS/WS series is just begging for an adaptation.

Dammit all to hell, George! Shouldn't you at least wait until the current Clone Wars cartoon is over before starting a new one? I mean the current series does have me wondering what will happen to a lot of characters - most notably Ahsoka, Cad Bane, and Rex - it has me interested. Don't go starting anything new yet.

Jeez.

If you've seen Marvel Superhero Squad, then you'll know that this new show won't mess around with the continuity of the current show, therefore you don't need to worry about anything. I'm sure we'll see silliness such as Anakin facing off against Darth Vader and Han Solo having pod races with a young Anakin.

Mother fucking George Lucas always stealing my ideas (but I must stress that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was not my idea).

I find it funny that Lucas doesn't want to make the last three films (VII, VIII, IX) as he doesn't have the time to do so - thank fuck for that!

I'd like to see some EU TV Mini Series, either adaptations or completely new, as there's no decent Sci-Fi TV around at the moment. Things are so bad I've taken to watching Star Trek Voyager at night! There's plenty to work with, either copying books, or even fresh stuff with all the characters floating around.

I posted this in the NHL thread, but... I went to the Kings game tonight, and it was Star Wars night at Staples Center. I got a Yoda puck!
