They need to incorporate the line "laugh it up fuzball" into the comedy series. Maybe have George Lucas tongue in cheek state that when he wrote that line over 30 years ago he was setting the stage for a Star Wars based comedy but had to wait for the right medium - animation - to be perfected before his vision could be realized.

Well season two of The Clone Wars ended tonight. While this season was miles and miles better than season one, the tagline for this season was "Rise of the Bounty Hunters" and we only got a small handful of episodes with bounty hunters in them. I also remember the teaser for season two promising that we would see ALOT more of the cool character known as Cad Bane, and we only got three episodes with him. However, on the brightside - we got three kickass Cad Bane episodes, Boba Fett's appearance into the series, two nice episodes that paid heavy tribute to Godzilla, more Aura Sing, and another episode (which paid heavy tribute to Seven Samurai) featuring Hondo Ohnaka - so I guess all in all - it was a good season.

I just recorded the first episode of my new podcast called "Retro Flick Fillet" and it we the subject was the Star Wars Prequels. Basically the theme of the podcast is we re-watch movies we have seen before for the show and compare what we thought then to what we think now....if anyone is interested it should be online in a few days...

Saw this on MSNBC.com this morning, and had to share:

Darth Vader was mentally ill, in case you're wondering

Linda Dahlstrom writes: Apparently Darth Vader’s real problem was that he lacked a good therapist, say French psychiatrists and psychologists who, instead of working with an actual patient, used their diagnostic super powers to divine that the Dark Lord may have had a borderline personality. If he was real that is.

What’s more, they think he was on drugs, er, The Force, which they think maybe represents drugs somehow, according to an article in LiveScience. Additionally, they think his mental health issues were exactly why teens were attracted to the "Star Wars" movies -- they could relate because of their own borderline personality traits. Or maybe it was because of the cool special effects.

But why put the dude formerly known as Anakin Skywalker on the psychiatrist's couch now, more than three decades after he first picked up a light saber?

"I had watched the two prequel movies ["Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith"], and it was during my residency in psychiatry while trying to explain borderline personality disorder to medical students that I thought of Anakin," French psychiatrist Eric Bui told LiveScience.

Bui, a psychiatrist at Toulouse University Hospital in France, and colleagues describe their theory in a letter to be published in journal Psychiatric Research.

Bui says Vader’s diagnosis will help spread awareness -- maybe more people will seek help if they see a little Darth Vader in themselves. (No word on what to do if you lean more toward the sinister stylings of Dr. Evil from "Austin Powers.)

We here at The Body Odd posit that if psychiatrists were going to take a hard look at Mr. Vader, perhaps his real issue was an existential crisis because HE DOESN’T EXIST.

As for the researchers themselves, they may want to examine each other for delusional disorder, a condition where people confuse fiction with reality.

Did the Joker have multiple-personality disorder? Did Freddie Kruger have intermittent explosive disorder? Did Nosferatu have narcissistic personality disorder? Share what mental conditions you think afflicted your favorite villains.

Seriously? Real doctors spent real time actually making a diagnosis of DARTH FREAKIN' VADER?

Last month when I was in Toronto, some comic book / nerd store (that I was brought to by others!) had a statue of Leia in Clone Wars style design. How does that work?

Seems like an excuse to make a very well endowed Leia.

Maybe Clone Wars will be doing an intercut story either right before or right after Episode IV, where the original trilogy cast finds something left over from the Clone Wars.

Ah Silver Snail. Every time I walk in there I have to do a double take next to that statue as I think it's actually someone standing there.

And every time the statue has to tell you "My eyes are up here"

And in true Star Wars fashion, you reply "I know"

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HE'S ADDING SHIT INTO THE BLU-RAYS COMING OUT NEXT FALL!

At Star Wars Celebration V, George Lucas finally made the big announcement that the entire Star Wars saga would be released in a Blu-Ray box set in Fall 2011. According to IGN, the set will feature “all six live-action Star Wars feature films, with the highest picture and audio quality,” along with extensive extras like “documentaries, vintage behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, retrospectives and never-before-seen footage from the Lucasfilm archives.” Lucas premiered one of the long-lost deleted scenes which will be included in the release, a scene from Return of the Jedi which involved Luke Skywalker assembling his new, green-bladed lightsaber prior to infiltrating Jabba the Hutt’s palace, and stashing it in R2-D2’s dome. The scene has completed visual effects and music because it was cut right before the final edit of the film was made during post production. Someone has captured the scene on video (found via AICN):

Return of the Jedi Missing Lightsaber Scene

Lucas said that the original trilogy films included on the Blu-Ray release will be the remastered special editions. He explained:

“Releasing the originals is kind of an oxymoron because the quality of the original is not very good. You have to go through and do a whole restoration on it, and you have to do that digitally. It’s a very, very expensive process to do it. So when we did the transfer to digital, we only transferred really the upgraded version.”

About damn time.

Now wait a minute. Will those missing scenes be added into the movie, or available as extras on the disc?

Now excuse me whilst I take a dip in my money pool."

I like how everyone just laps it up and cheers as if this is the key scene that was missing all these years that explains everything. Oh, man! Every time I watch Jedi, I'm like, a green lightsaber? What? Where did that come from?

When he did this with the DVD versions, he didn't even include the cleaned up originals. It was basically just the VHS's put onto DVD.

These already look great on DVD, so the Blu Rays will probably look sick. I'll check them out.

The best part of the deleted scene that apparently people have been waiting their whole lives for is that Luke building his lightsaber is really just Luke poking it with a tuning fork. I wanted to see him put in a god damn crystal.

Maybe they'll do an idea I remember hearing was planned and, during the scene where Luke is getting electrocuted by Palpatine and Vader is looking between the two in an introspective moment, they'll insert flashbacks to his time with Padme.
