He's not wrong. Cable TV executives care about the 18-49 demo. There's a reason that number is always brought up instead of any other demos or the total amount of viewers.

Either way, the executive care more about how the numbers are 6 months to a year from when the show started airing more than 8 weeks in, especially since they've crushed expectations.

Dave was saying it isn't a win for AEW. The tweet he was responding to was asking how he can spin it into a win for AEW and he's saying it isn't a win.

He then responds to multiple other tweets saying you can't make excuses for the rating (although you shouldn't panic either).

I posted these together just so I could put them into context. I did think Darby/Cody was a four star match, but I wanted to make clear that in context and all in the same issue these are the worst star ratings I have ever seen. Anyone who thinks any of those matches is better than Okada/Naito has lost their mind, to say nothing of the rest. Ibushi vs. White being given a three star rating is completely insane and I find it laughable someone charges money to view these "insights"

My favorite part of today's AEW report was Dave finding it awesome that the Butcher works in a real butcher shop on AEW. I can't imagine the cartoon outrage Dave and Bryan would have produced if this was a RAW vignette. To be fair, Vince would probably do it WAY over the top.

I believe Dave also called Riho a "Huge star now" and "legitimate draw". Maybe Omega got Meltz a BJ on the boat. I'm not sure if I mean from Riho or Kenny.

What's inexcusable about stating facts? Some female wrestlers sell their gear to make money. Some of them sell private chats and do custom tapes. Dave didn't weigh in positive or negative about it.

I think it's the way he transitioned from Thunder Rosa who is in need of money for car repairs to the general female wrestling population doing it for cash. I mean, realistically we all know that 90% of those sales aren't going to fans framing it like a jersey from their sports hero. They're going to dirty fucks using it for whatever. Both the seller and buyer know what's going on here. But, I think there was probably a better way to phrase it.

Yeah, I guess the odd part is he skims by the hit and run, doesn’t address if she is ok - merely jumps into car repairs with the heavy emphasis on the market of the internet pervs, more than her well-being. I don’t see it as intentional or him being a sexist monster more how socially awkward he is. I could see him doing something similar with a male talent but this one gets a bad look given some of the pieces.
