I think I am legit quitting F4W this weekend after 5,6,7+ years. Their bias AEW coverage has broke me.

- same pair have a bunch of matches week after week. It's not 50/50 booking like on RAW, it's a great rivalry "Like a best of 7 series they never actually announced!"
- Comedy promos are okay on AEW to a degree, DEATH on RAW
- Ignoring multiple botches on Dynamite that would have been worth crying about on WWE.
- This week's hot takes that WWE should use Backstage to tear into their own issues and not focus on the positives.
- White Knighting Sin Cara for having to do a JOB. Dear God, the horror!
- and on and on.

This comes up a lot in "WWE vs AEW" debates on social median and other forums. There are times when AEW misses the mark on comedy but I do believe they've been more consistent with providing quality fun. It helps that they know their fanbase.

I don't think anyone hates comedy wrestling, it's just how it's delivered.

Meltz' review sunday AM was that he DID NOT like Mox vs. Kenny. He couldn't bear to not be pro AEW though, so he decided because the match got over with the neck beards in the crowd, it was apparently one of the best matches of the year.

He did that with the Ibushi/Naito match from earlier this year where Ibushi took a lot of dangerous neck bumps. He scolded him for taking them and told people not to support the match as it'll inspire others to do the same dumb shit but then gave it a rave review.

His main event rating and the Bucks/LAX rating are correct.

The rest of those are so egregious that a five year old could have drawn them with crayons. The three way tag never even got out of first gear. The idea that he liked everything on that show more than Wagner/Demon is frightening. What a mark.

They brought up that PAC vs Page was 50/50 booking, but that 50/50 booking can work if they made it a best of 7 series, since they're just about halfway there. They said it would work to keep both away from the title for the time being, and should be a #1 contender series.

The botches weren't anything so huge that they needed to be bitched about.

Comedy wrestling/segments aren't always horrible. They're horrible in WWE because they're not funny. They haven't all hit in AEW either, and they'll call them out.

They said Backstage being used just to basically suck off the company isn't the way it should be used. If it's supposed to be legit like Fox wants, then talk about everything, even the bad things.

They've called out AEW multiple times, since it started, but let's not talk about that. Maybe you should just ignore his opinion if it upsets you so much.

No, those botches were very apparent and hurt the matches. It's also just misreading if you don't think Meltz has been PR for them.

Cody/Jericho isn't higher than ****. Cody killing himself on the ramp and the angle at the end are all I remember, and without Cody taking that stupid bump to break his eye, the match is way lower by some margin. Without the blood, that match was a star lower.

The women's match was the worst on the show, and seeing it anything above **1/2 is bullshit.

But here we are, being douchebags about star ratings and how Dave sucks at saying things. Good times.

Also nothing this year has been better that Wagner/Demon and anyone who says different is a liar.

I also agree it probably isn't above ****.

Omega-Moxley was a spectacle, and to quote Jim Cornette, "For those who like that sort of thing, that's the sort of thing they like," but that was twice as long as it needed to be and probably shortened those guys' careers by several years.

I a fan because I won't shit on every little thing they do? Give me a fucking break. I'm sorry that someone like Marko, who I've seen wrestle many times, both on TV and live, doesn't set off some sort of rage meter. I've been critical of them when it's deserved. I didn't even comment on his ratings for the matches because it doesn't mean shit. It's what HE thought of the matches. I swear, I've never seen so many people bitch and moan about someone's opinion as they do when Dave rates a match.

I've never seen people devote so much time to someone they don't like than the people who endless bitch about Dave, and take things he says out of context, in this thread. He's said some stupid fucking things before that deserve to be ripped apart.

I listen to the show during the week, they've criticized the show many times.

The women's match was far from the worst, unless you're talking the Buy In match. Emi vs Riho was a very good match with great heat. The build was shit, which has been called out by pretty much everyone including Dave, but the match was very much over 2 1/2 stars. But that's my opinion. If you hated it, that's fine. But to rip someone just because they rated a match higher than what you thought is bullshit.

I've never seen someone so annoyed at so many being critical of Dave. Actually that's a lie, there's been a couple. But please, I and I'm sure others welcome the true, real context. Just, like, add in the "uh" and "um" and "plans change." Just favorites of mine.

Emi/Riho was poorly built and way too long. Killed the crowd, eventually brought them back for the finish. Chop it down a few minutes and place it on the card better, it's a better match. Also very much exposed how bad Riho is. The only thing comparable was Spears/Janela, but again there was memorable moments and Janela's enthusiasm helped a lot. Still not a good match.

I never ripped anyone for rating that match higher. You're taking me out of context.

I don't care about star ratings or anything like that but some people do automatically jump on Dave with some of the news he reports. Everyone made fun of him for reporting Cedric Alexander was being buried and he turned out to be right.

I've said this all the time. Dave has said some terribly stupid things the last few years or so and he should rightfully be called on them but to pretend he's never right anymore and has completely turned into some hack or something is horseshit

Like just call him out on shit when he's wrong. Like the .Seth story this week
