New weekly bundle up as well for $1 ya get Neighbours From Hell Compilation, Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, The Guild 2, and Red Faction: Armageddon! If you pay $6 or more<looks like they changed it to a flat price instead of beating the average>, you'll also receive Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, ArcaniA, Darksiders II and SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny!

Gonna grab the $1 set as usual but was wondering if anyone knows enough about the other 4 to say if it's worth dropping the extra $5 on em?

BioShock 2 has been updated on Steam to remove GFWL and SecuROM. Now includes full 360 controller support, Steam achievements, and still has multi-player. All current owners get all of the DLC, including Minerva's Den--which I've seen praised as one of the better pieces of DLC made for any game. New purchases include most of the DLC, with an option to buy Minerva's Den.

Here's some info about other games which seem like they'll be moving from GFWL to Steamworks:

This is kinda silly. Call of Duty: Ghosts PC requirements:

http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/call-of-duty-ghosts/system-requirements

Minimum System Requirements
  • OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
  • RAM: 6 GB RAM
  • HDD: 50 GB HD space
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
  • Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
  • DirectX: 11
  • Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

Recommended System Requirements
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780

The requirements for Watch_Dogs have been appearing and disappearing of late as well, showing similar specs: 4-6GB RAM, 2GB VRAM, 64-bit OS, quad-core CPU. Looks like it might be a good idea to wait and see what these next-gen-based games actually require before putting together a worthwhile gaming PC. Based on these recent rumours/news, the i3-2120 & HD 7770 system I put together last year would struggle to even meet minimums.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is available now on Steam for $20.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/245280/

A few months ago, I kinda wondered if this might happen. Dark Souls on PC has apparently been successful for Namco--despite being a bit of a shoddy port--and Devil May Cry got a good PC version for Ninja Theory (at least part of the work there was outsourced). Then I saw a rumour about Enslaved PC a little while later. And now all of a sudden, it's available. Neat.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Sega just released The Typing of the Dead: Overkill. 10 years after the original Typing of the dead and nearly 5 years after House of the Dead: Overkill. Kind of random, but no less awesome. Only $10 until November 1.

I bought it. I thought I was a faster typist.

Also, the original Overkill game is included if you don't want to type.

I like the idea of that chassis. And I assume it's a non-typical motherboard as well. The Verge has a gallery of various prototypes, so I'm just trying to figure everything out.

The CPU is on the rear right--near the I/O panel--and exhausts out of the top. PSU is front-right, which I think means it intakes from the top, and exhausts out the right side. The GPU is on the left, and exhausts out the rear. The HDD/SSD seem like it's in the middle, elevated in a cradle above and to the side of the CPU cooler. I think the RAM is in front of the CPU, in its own little compartment.

In any case, it looks kinda bonkers. They've fit a proper CPU, and a Titan GPU into something a little bigger than an Xbox 360.

The Verge have a full-on article as well.

Edit: Just starting in to an Engadget article, and they already have some images that make it easier to see what goes where.

With the Team 17 Weekly Sale that's currently going, Humble changed the Steam system from providing individual keys to redeem, to linking your Steam account, and redeeming games automatically. Looks like there is now a system to send individual games as gifts, in conjunction with the new linked accounts setup.

I am not a fan of this new system, I can not for the life of me log in to the steam website, I'm using the exact same username and pass that I do on the app and it just says invalid log-in, quite annoying...

Do you have Steam Guard enabled? I'd suggest trying some stuff like clearing cookies, using a different browser, de-authorizing all of your Steam Guard-authorized computers, temporarily changing the account password, and maybe a few other things.

Nice; I just noticed this today. Looks like there was some stuff added to the Steam client in an update last week:

"Updated Downloads section, including download-queue management and quick links to throttling and app update settings

Added "High Priority" app update setting - Steam will prioritize automatic updates for that app"

Anybody want a 33% off Foul Play or 25% off Volgarr the Viking coupon? I guess I got them for buying Hotline Miami (which is fucking awesome).

The Humble Store has opened with a handful of games, all at 50-75% off.

https://www.humblebundle.com/store

A little odd in that it seems to be just another storefront, with a few twists. I would have figured a "Humble Store" would be all of the various games that use the Humble Store widget on their respective home pages, gathered up in a browsable, searchable way.

According to the Humble Store FAQ, the Humble Debut Sale is a 7-day affair. There will be 9 games on sale at a time, with a new batch swapped in at 11AM every day.

Thanks for the heads up; can't believe how good a deal this bundle was to start with & now I find out there's a couple DLC packs and another couple games added on after the fact.
